Chapter 10

Robin's pov

Robin felt two arms around her when she woke up,her eyes fluttering open.She yawned," Nancy?" She carefully moved the sleeping girl's arms,rubbing her head in confusion. She looked over at the alarm clock,it all came back to her. The talk,Nancy crying,everything. She felt an arm land on her leg,a smile spreading across her lips. Nancy yawned next to her," Hey,Robin." She tried to get up from bed,but just ended up landing on Robin's lap. "Can I go back to sleep?" Robin smiled down at Nancy," Yeah."

Robin ran her hand through Nancy's curly hair. She gently pulled her hand out of Nancy's hair,and just in time too,Nancy yawned a few moments after and opened her eyes. "Have you got any plans for the El and Max date?"

Robin twirled her hair around her finger while Nancy chewed on a nearby pen. Robin shot up from her seat,she had an idea," Ice cream date! We can give them money for ice cram. They both can get ice cream and go shopping at the mall!"Nancy got up from her seat too,but much more gracefully than Robin. "How will we get Max around?She has bad eyesight,remember?"

" Well,El could help her.",Nancy got out her notepad as Robin spoke,writing down how they would get Max around,how much money they would give the girls to spend,ect. "You have everything on that one note?I'd have to have at least 2 notes for that." Robin looked down at the note Nancy wrote," You're forgetting that I was apart of the Hawkins Post."

Robin opened her car door for Nancy," Milady." She playfully bowed in front of Nancy before getting in the car herself. "I am assuming El is at Max's trailer,so let's look there."

Robin and Nancy had finally arrived after a few minutes of driving. Their eyes looked in the direction of Eddie's new trailer,now just belonging to his uncle. "I feel bad for him. He didn't even know what happened to Eddie." Robin nodded in response,grabbing Nancy's hand to lead her to Max's trailer.

Robin and Nancy knocked on the trailer's door,surprised when it opened on its own. They heard giggling somewhere in the trailer,"Max?" The two walked into a room where they saw a small bed which Max and El were on. "Oh,hey guys!"

El turned Max's head in the direction of Robin and Nancy,whispering something into her ear. "What are you two doing here?",Max asked,an eyebrow now raised at the two of them. "Do you still have a crush on the person you were talking about,Nancy?" Robin turned to Nancy,whose face was bright red," We can talk about that later."

" Anyways,me and Nancy are here to take you two to the mall.That is if you want to go.There was a lot of stuff that happened there and I understand if you don't want to go,I didn't even want to go!" Nancy looked over at a nervous Robin," It's alright Robin. I can ask them about the rest if you want." Nancy grabbed Robin's hand and almost looked down at Robin's lips,earning an eyebrow raise from El who was now whispering to Max. "Yeah,sure we can go,and you loveb- I mean,good friends can hang out."

Robin had a look of confusion on her face," What were you about to say,Max?" Max facepalmed,whispering to El,Robin could make out a few words,"She is so oblivious."

The four of them got into Robin's car,Max waved to her mom before they drove off. Nancy and Robin could hear the girls giggling in the back," Hey,Nance,what was El talking about earlier?" Nancy cleared her throat," She was right about me liking someone,but I don't like them anymore,I shouldn't." Robin knew what that was like when she had more intense feelings for Vickie. Now she had started to think about Vickie,their friendship wasn't looking so good since Vickie tried to kiss her at the fair. Robin thought that she would want to talk to Vickie first,but no,it was Nancy. Why though?

The four girls had arrived at the Starcourt Mall. El held her hand out for Max to latch onto when she got out of the car. Once all four of them were out of the car,they all headed towards the mall. Robin shoved a hand into one of her pockets to grab her wallet,handing the girls $15," If you spend it all in one place,I will kill you two,right Robin?" She shrugged,"Just have fun."

After El and Max skipped to Scoops Ahoy,Robin and Nancy turned to each other," What should we do now?" Robin shrugged,after a few moments an idea popped into her head," I know!The photo booth!" She grabbed Nancy's hand,looking back to see Nancy's red face," Is something wrong?" Nancy shook her head," Alright,let's go then!"

The two arrived at the photo booth after a few minutes of shopping and running around. Robin pulled Nancy in by the collar of her shirt. Robin stuck out her tongue while Nancy held up two fingers and smiled. For the next photo,Robin brought Nancy closer to her and smiled.After a few more,the camera had finished snapping photos of the two. Robin smiled at Nancy," Come on,let's see the photos!"

Nancy smiled down at the photos," I remember doing this with Barb." Robin looked over at her," Do you miss her?" Nancy just nodded,looking down sadly. Robin nervously pulled Nancy into a hug,she wasn't exactly sure what to do to help Nancy. "I used to know Barb." Nancy looked up at Robin,"  I remember her talking about you." The two smiled at each other before Robin almost jumped out of the hug," El and Max are probably ready to go by now!" Nancy had a look of disappointment,"How could I forget?"

Nancy and Robin found the two girls waiting by the entrance,laughing and smiling at each other. Nancy gave Robin a quick high five before they went over to the girls,"So,how was the mall?" Max shrugged," It was fun,but I couldn't really enjoy anything since,you  know." She pointed to her cloudy,white eyes. Robin chuckled nervously,"Right.Let's get you two home."
