Chapter 18

Robin's pov
Robin had no idea how she had come up with a college party,but it seemed like a fun idea. Just as Robin got up to leave Nancy's house,she turned to Nancy with a smirk. "I don't think you answered my question from-" Robin was shut up with a soft kiss form Nancy,who pulled away after a few moments. Nancy looked into Robin's eyes,"Robin Buckley,I want to date you. I have for a while,so can I?" She only had one answer in her mind,"Yes." Nancy made Robin feel confident in that moment and gave her the strength to say yes. It may have felt scary to think about how she could lose Nancy if they broke up,but Robin would take the chances if that meant she got to be something more than a friend to Nancy.

Robin was now sitting at Steve's house,sharing her chips with him. Steve grabbed a handful before shaving them into his mouth,"So what did you want to tell me?" Robin smirked at him,"Well,you remember your ex,Nancy?I'm dating her!It'sso amazing even though we've only been dating for a few minutes. I feel like i was little too bold when I asked-" Steve interrupted Robin before she could finish,"Why would you start that by telling me about my ex. I'm happy for you,but that is a horrible way to start telling someone that you are dating someone!" Robin raised an eyebrow at Steve,teasingly saying,"Should I get a paper to write this down?" Steve groaned and very seriously said,"Yes!" After a moment he understood,"Oh,you're being sarcastic. Well,shut up!" He said playfully. "In all seriousness,I'm happy for you,Robin." Robin smiled at Steve,giving him a gentle hug,"Thank you Steve."

Robin had brought out boxes from her basement for this party,which she did not have fun retrieving. She had found a bunch of spiders and moldy food in her basement,which was alarming. Max,who decided to stop by unannounced,was laying on her bed,"Why are you inviting people who aren't going to college to this party again?" Robin shrugged,"Maybe it's just a plan I made to kidnap you guys. But,to be fair,Steve isn't going to college,and I absolutely wouldn't kidnap him." Max asked in a mocking voice,"Because you love him like a brother?" Robin shook her head,"No,because he smells like shit and complains too much." Max held in a laugh,"Are you trash talking your best friend?" Robin nodded,"Obviously."

Max had finally got up to leave after a few hours of trash talking Steve and helping decorate. "Hey,I have a question,Robin." Robin turned around to face Max,"What is it?" She smirked at Robin before asking,"Did you finally ask Nancy out?" Color rushed to her face as she answered,"No,but Nancy did." She smiled at the words,she was finally dating Nancy. "That's great Robin. So what are you two going to go on,cringey dates?" Although Max had a teasingly tone,Robin could tell that she was happy for them. Robin smirked at Max,"No,but I bet you and El would." She made a comment,"Our dates would be less cringe than you and Nancy's that's for sure. Also,we're not dating...yet." Robin gave Max a pat on the back,"You'll get to date her,eventually. Now leave." She said jokingly before pushing Max out of the house playfully.

After Robin put up decorations and called everyone,she put her legs up on the ends of the couch. After a few minutes,she heard a knock on the door before she heard Steve's voice,"Open up,meanie." She scrambled up onto her feet. She opened the door with a groan,"I don't bully you enough for you to call me that,dingus." Steve pulled her into a hug," Even though you're mean to me and tease me,I'll miss you when you go to college. I won't miss you breaking into my house for snacks though." He half joked,pulling away from the hug. "You two done?" Robin heard Max behind Steve,her eyebrow was raised at the two of them. "I'll miss seeing Steve be bullied by you,but Dustin can do that,right?" She turned to the curly haired boy behind her," How did you know I was here?" He sounded so surprised it made Max roll her eyes,"It's not like you were panting loudly from biking all the way here." Even though Max couldn't see,she could imagine the look on Dustin's face and him putting up two middle fingers. He then scoffed, "I don't breath that loud."

Robin eventually let them in after a few minutes of bickering between Max and Dustin. Robin heard a few knocks on the door,opening it to see Nancy," You came." She smiled at Robin,"Of course of did. We're going to colleges that are close together,but i wanted to see you again,before we left for college." Nancy didn't say another word,pulling Robin into a soft hug. She pulled away after a moment. "You two seem like such great best friends." Steve teased,smirking at Robin. "Fuck you,Steve. I'm happy that I'm leaving your annoying ass behind." She groaned at Steve,rolling her eyes at him playfully. He threw his arm around her shoulder," Love you too,Robin."

Robin eventually ended up on the couch between Nancy and Steve. Robin put her legs on Steve's lap," I didn't see you there." He groaned," How could you not see me? I'm next to you!" Robin raised her head," You're as tall as Nancy,how could I see you?" Steve and Nancy gasped jokingly," I think she's right,Steve." His brown eyes widened at this comment," Guys I'm being attacked by Robin. She's being so mean to me tonight!" Robin smirked at Steve mischievously," I'm leaving for college,I gotta make up for missed opportunities." El and Max held in their giggles,earning a playful,"Shut up!",from Steve.

The party ended with the group telling stories about each other(mainly about Steve),and laughing at the stories. "I was at Family Video when Steve ran up to me and said he was a genius because apparently he invented the 'Ice cream drink',which was basically a milkshake. I had to talk to him for half an hour to convince him that his drink already existed. He even asked Keith,of all people,if it was real and he somehow convinced Keith that his drink was brand new. I don't understand how he does it." Max made a sarcastic remark,"He seems very creative to me,Robin. I'm starting to think that he made the drink." Steve looked very surprised,his eyes and mouth opened wide," How was I supposed to know that it was already a drink?" Robin gave him a pat on the back," You'll do great things...Someday."

When the party ended,Robin gave everyone a hug on the way out,saying goodbye to everyone at the party,she wouldn't be able to see them in a while,especially since she had somehow gotten a dorm in the college. Nancy had come last," Hey,maybe we can drive out to the colleges together,if you want." She offered with a soft smile. Robin returned the smile,"Yeah,we can drive there together." She gave Nancy a peck on the cheek,holding her hand in Robin's," Goodbye,until tomorrow." She leaned her head against Nancy's shoulder," I'll see you tomorrow."
