Despite the blurriness in my vision, I could discern that Kitty and the creature were wrestling. I could faintly hear static in my head, but my thoughts were clearer now. I was concerned about the possibility of Kitty's injury.

Suddenly, my head became light, and I felt myself falling, before everything went dark.

~~~
I woke up with a sensation of cold hands on my side, drenched in sweat, and experiencing dried blood on my hands. As I blinked to clear my vision, I felt relieved upon recognizing the familiar outline of my entity friend crouching beside me. Both my entity friend and I had survived.
My eyes trailed down to my abdomen, and I could see his hands. Kitty had hands?
The wound was skillfully stitched, but his cold fingers grazing my skin left goosebumps. The pain struck me suddenly like a truck, and the butterflies disappeared. My arm and thigh ached, and my mouth was dry. I felt lifeless.
Kitty's low voice rang in my ears: "I instructed you to stay with me and listen. Your survival is miraculous. Your scream saved you from being dead. Why was it difficult for you to simply listen, y/n?" Kitty's voice conveyed a mixture of disappointment, sadness, and some anger.
I frowned and started to clench my fist, but I had to stop immediately. I felt a burning sensation that made my hand stiff. I sighed, stammering over my words.
"I-im sorry. I got curious ok? This level looked so welcoming, I didn't think there would be such a dangerous entity here." My explanation was inadequate, and my thoughts raced while I searched for the right words to say. "I should've listened, I am sorry."
Kitty stitched my wound in silence. The sensation was akin to the prickling of a salt-coated knife in my wound.
I regretted the trouble I caused and had already learned from my mistake. Kitty's silence caused me to feel uneasy, and I suddenly recalled the tone in his voice before our departure...
"You had a feeling about this didn't you?" I asked him softly. He appeared to halt briefly before continuing with what he was doing. "You were untruthful earlier. You have hands," I joked, attempting to ease the tense atmosphere. My intention was to alleviate the gravity of the situation with my humor. I felt grateful for Kitty's presence with me. His protection and guidance were reassuring as he led me out of this distressing situation.
"I had a feeling something bad would happen, but not this bad. And I did lie, sorry," He apologized, mumbling his words. I felt a smile forming at the corners of my mouth. He finished treating my wound, but despite his lack of eyes, his gaze lingered on me longer than necessary.
"Erm...thank you. Again, I am sorry for this, truly." I examined his stitching and found him to have done an impressive job. I had no prior knowledge of his needlework abilities, and it made me feel appreciative. After surveying my settings, I realized I was still on level 5. I had been leaning against a long hallway's wall.
The warm air made me increasingly uncomfortable as my clothing stuck to my skin, and I sat with dried blood all over me. I observed that Kitty was no longer crouched by my side but instead standing and looking down the hall.
"Where's my bag?"
He looked at me, and his shadow rapidly moved down the hallway. He returned promptly with my bag and handed it over to me. I unzipped my bag to look for a new set of clothes and water to wash off the blood.
I asked Kitty to turn away, and he complied. I spent some time carefully undressing, pouring water over my body, and using my hands to wash away the red substance. I didn't mind the carpet getting wet. I frequently glanced at Kitty, ensuring that he wasn't observing me. Although he had turned away, the sensation persisted that his gaze was scrutinizing me.
