Chapter 15: Dance with me

You blush at his words.

" - Wh-why are you doing this? 

- Because we still have two hours to spend together.

- But I don't know how to dance.

- I'll be your teacher."

The two of you start dancing as the song plays. You spin and twirl while being in his arms, following his lead. Despite his skinny look, he sometimes manages to lift you up. You're happy to get some relief from this scary night, even more because you are with the only one who guided you through the darkness and stayed by your side during those last hours. He grabs your hands and kisses your fingers, looking into your eyes. A crimson blush covers your cheeks as he softly smiles at you.

"See? This night isn't as bad as we could have expected."

You nod and give him a bright smile. 

" - Your grin is so cute...

- S-stop flustering me!

- Why would I? I know you enjoy this~"

You turn red as a beet, stepping away from him.

" - F-Frederic-

- [Y/n], I'm not the same person when I'm around you.

- You mean you're not a sane person.

- That's the same thing. You know I'm crazy about you~"

He approaches you and caresses your cheek.

" - I'll keep you safe, [Y/n], he whispers.

- I-I don't doubt that at all, but I still feel nervous about what could happen. What if Roxane, Montgomery, Chica or even that female rabbit finds us here?

-  Don't worry about the animatronics, sweetie. They don't know about this place. As for the bunny girl, we'd have to run away if such a situation had to occur.

- When will I finally be safe?

- But you ARE safe here, as long as you stay with me.

- What about my friends? That hare told me they were looking for me.

- It was a trap. She was trying to lure you out of the security office to abduct you and probably kill you.

- You seem to know that person very well...

- I don't, actually. I'm just following the rumors.

- What rumors?

- This woman you saw would be possessed by a vengeful spirit that would always come back no matter how many times we try to get rid of it."

"I always come back."

That's what was written at the end of the second hidden arcade game.

" - So you lied to us when you said you didn't know about a secret game separated in two chapters?

- It isn't split in two parts. There are three, actually.

- Where is the third part?

- In the nightguard's office. But that game doesn't matter. Anyone playing it takes the risk to meet the demonic entity.

- The nightguard's office?! Does that mean that the nightguard would be the one under the influence of the evil spirit?

- Maybe.

- We need to find her and set her free.

- How are you going to do that?

- I don't know, but I will!"

He grabs your wrist.

"You can't save her. No one can."

You stare at him as he looks at you with a sad glance.

" - Please, don't leave me. You could get hurt out there.

- Fine." You sigh.

You hug him. He lifts up your chin and presses his forehead against yours when you suddenly hear the door being broken down. A familiar silhouette stands in the door frame.
