quick A/n: Before you start reading just know that I'm gonna take a break from the IDW series and focus on these two's relationship for a couple chapters. I'm doing this cause dear god these two need a break from all the events that happened. Anyways, Enjoy!

Its been about a week since Sonic's return and a week since Y/n and Sonic have started dating. They were slowly getting use to each other but still, taking baby steps. By now everyone who knows them or knows about them knows that they're together and are really happy for the two. Sonic has been giving Y/n gifts every day since. Right now The couple were in the livingroom cuddling while watching TV. 

Sonic: I love you, Y'know that?

Y/n: You've been telling me that every day Sonic.

Sonic: I know, I just want you to know that I love you everyday. 

Sonic kissed Y/n's forehead only for her to kiss him on the cheek. Sonic blushed darkly and began to purr. His tails also began to wag. 

Y/n: Are you purring?

Sonic: N-No!

Sonic desperately tried to stop himself from purring. Y/n smiles and kisses him again, each kiss on different parts of his face. Sonic's purrs began to get louder and he pushed Y/n away gently. 

Y/n:[mischievously] What? Don't like my kisses?

Sonic: You know that I love your kisses. I just want to stop purring, and you kisses me isn't helping.

Y/n: But I love hearing you purr.

Sonic: It makes me feel weak.

Y/n: Your not weak. 

Sonic: I just don't like doing that. It's a vulnerable state and I hate it cause I always have to be alert incase something happens, and me in that state doesn't immediately go back to being alert.... also it adds embarrassment  if anyone were to see me like that.

Y/n: If your worried something might happen you don't need to worry. I'll be there to protect you.

Sonic: But what if something happens to you? I don't want to loose you again. I've lost you way too many times already. 

Y/n: I can take care of myself, Alright? Heck I might be stronger than you physically. No need to worry.

Sonic:... Who said your stronger than me?

Y/n: Me. I mean I could break the master emerald if I wanted to. 

Sonic:[smirks] Cocky I see? 

Y/n: Not as cocky as you.

Sonic: Well if you think your so strong then maybe we can spare sometime this week.

 Y/n:[smiles] Your on! I could take you on any day! Square up hedgehog!

Sonic laughed at Y/n's eagerness as she begins to punch the air.

Sonic: Woah there tiger! 

Y/n stops punching air and giggles.

Sonic:[smirks] I like my girls strong and confident in their abilities. Especially if they think they can kick my ass.

Y/n blushes at Sonic's comment and covers her face. 

Sonic: Oh come on, I was enjoying your confident side! Ever since we started dating you've become so shy with me. I get its gonna take some getting use to but you don't have to be all shy with me. I mean I don't mind you being shy, if anything I find it cute,but I miss the old Y/n.
