Chapter 20

Sonic and Y/n are a good hour away from sunset city. Sonic was taking a small break from running. Y/n was looking at Sonic for the past few minutes. 

Sonic: Its rude to stare y'know.

Y/n: You know you can take a small nap right?

Sonic: I know but I can't. The metal virus is might turn me while I'm sleeping. Plus. I can't sleep know all those people are getting turned into mindless Zombie robots. 

Y/n: I know you care about those citizens but what about you? 

Sonic: What about me?

Y/n: You look exhausted, like you're about to collapse. You've been on the run almost none stop. Its okay to take a nap. I can wake you up if the virus spreads a little too much.

Sonic: I'm too tired to argue with you. Fine but just for five minutes.

Y/n sits down on the ground and pats her lap, gesturing him to put his head there. Sonic lays down on Y/ns lap and quickly falls asleep. After a while a buss from her communicator is heard. She presses the answer button.

Rouge: Y/n? This is Rouge. Where are you two?

Y/n: We're like an hour away from sunset city. 

Rouge: Can you pick up the pace?

Y/n: Sorry but no. Sonic is taking a small nap.

Rouge: What?! Why?!

Y/n: Don't yell. Sonic is exhausted and he looks like he's gonna collapse any second. I had to make him take a nap before he can face anymore Zombots.

Rouge: But we need you two now!

Y/n: Sorry but I can't have the fastest thing alive tired as heck and facing more zombots. If he were to collapse and were to turn into a zombot then that would mean you'd have to deal with a zombot that's faster and stronger than all the rest.

Rouge: True...[sighs] Just hurry. 

Y/n cuts the communication and looks at Sonic. He looks to be half way through transforming.

Y/n: I wonder....

Y/n looked around and found a small piece of glass. She grabbed in and cut her arm with it.

Y/n: Sonic, wake up.

Sonic opened his eyes and sat up.

Sonic:[tiredly] Yes?

Y/n: I want you to do something. I know It might seem weird but I want you to trust me. 

Sonic nodded.

Y/n: I want you to drink my blood.

Sonic: What?!

Y/n: Its an experiment. I want to see if my blood can cure you or just slow down the virus.

Sonic: Fine, I'll try it.

Y/n lifted her injured arm to Sonic's mouth and he licked the blood and swallowed it. He continued to do so until He blood was dry.

Y/n: Now, I want you to closely examine the virus. Just sit here and watch the virus.

Sonic nodded.

After five minutes.

Sonic and Y/n had been talking for a while. 

Y/n: So you don't like Amy?
