Chapter 14: awakening

I got to the Heavenly emperor. And he was busy with official things.

"Hello, father. There is a traitor between us." I showed Chuntao to him.

"Chuntao? What crime did she admit?"

"Well, first of all she tried to kill Hui Ying."

"Oh? But that is a Heavenly crime. Set her in jail."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." And I immediatly checked on Hui Ying.

"Old monk, are you.." He then revealed his true identity. The bright, shining Ancestral God.

"Yes, I am indeed the Ancestral God..but I lived too long. I need to give my life to Hui Ying then. She is the future. The future of the Three Realms. And our savior. But now is not the time."

"Your Majesty." And I bowed for him.

"Aiyaah..rise! Rise." 

"Why won't Your Majesty tell her that you are her grandfather? She would be happy!"

"I know Hui Ying would firstly come up with a new idea to kill the Devil God. I can't let her know that I am her grandfather."

Then Hui Ying opened her eyes.

"Hui Ying, are you alright?" I said.

"What just happened, Zixuan?" 

Hui Ying

Suddenly a strange voice came in my head. It wasn't the Devil Goddess, or the Goddess. This seemed..a male voice.

"Hui Ying, they are all using you. Why don't you kill Zixuan first?" The male said.

"Who are you? Why are you in my head?!"

"Hehe...you don't know? I am..the only Devil God."

"The Devil God?!"

"Kill Zixuan. And Li Jie."

"Not on my watch!"

And I opened my eyes.

"Hui Ying? Are you alright?"

"Yes..where is Li Jie?"

"You were poisoned and now you want to know where Li Jie is? Are you crazy?"

"Tell me. Where is Li Jie?"

"Hui Ying is summoned to the Heaven and Earth platform immediatly." A guard came.

"Are you crazy? She was hurt!"

"No Zixuan, let me go."

"I said so. Fate is fate. Things won't go as you planned. It's time for you to kill now." The Devil God said.

What does he mean..is Li Jie and I born to kill eachother? Is there no more option...

Li Jie

"Time to kill your beloved one, Li Jie." Said the God of War.

"You always think about this option. Is there no other option?"

"No, she'll bring disaster to the Three Realms! Do you want that? Your choice is also the choice of the world."

And I arrived at the Heaven and Earth platform. Chuntao was set free.

Hui Ying was also here. And alot of powerfull sects. I wonder...if this is the Heavenly punishment form..

"Hui Ying, Li Jie's wife is a traitor!" Chuntao said. Hui Ying stood and crossed her arms. As if she didn't care. That's my girl.

"Everybody, she's right." My father said.

"Father, what did she do? She was always under my watch." I said.

"What, if I can prove that she's the Devil God?" Shoot. Father found out too. "Put her in the chains!" The sects grabbed her and put her in the chains. 

"Father, you can't do this! You don't have prove!" But they wouldn't listen to Zixuan. They already activated the Heavenly punishment.

"Father! She's not the Devil God!" I said.

"The Heavenly Punishment can prove that." And it started lighting. I could see Hui Ying in much pain. She kneeled and lightning came on her.

"FATHER! STOP THIS NOW! YOU ARE HURTING HER!" And Zixuan came forward and within three hits, all the sects fell down.

"XUAN ER! HOW DARE YOU!" And the sects all attacked Zixuan, and I couldn't protect him.

"Li Jie.." he said, while with much blood in his mouth. "Protect her.." And he felt on the ground.

"ZIXUAN!!" And I immediatly felt my heart burning. "Why.....why do you guys have so MUCH HATE ON HER!" And all the sects, including my dad was injured. But now my divine essence is also damaged..

"LI JIE!" And he grabbed the Ancient bell, especially made to trap the Devil God. Made from real Ancestral God's power. And they almost activated the Heavenly Punishment. I couldn't do anything..my powers..

The clouds were disappearing and the sky turned black. I took a glance at Hui Ying, and I saw her eyes turning red. Exactly like the Devil God. They really look alike...

"Hui Ying...don't.."

And she broke the Heavenly Punishment arrow.

"How.." The Heavenly emperor stood scared and was shocked. Suddenly a big lightning flash came right behind Hui Ying.

It was The Ancestral God. I knew that the old monk was the Ancestral God.

"Hui Ying-a..." And he helped her calming down. Her eyes started turning golden, then red, then golden.

"Grandfather...?" And tears started flowing on her face. "Grandfather, is that really you?" She started kneeling. 

"Hui Ying, why are you kneeling? I am the one that should do that. It was my fault for not raising you up. It was all my fault, and yet I disguised my identity with a monk..grandfather is very guilty.."

"You don't have to, I'm sorry..I couldn't control myself. Zixuan, a good friend of mine almost lost his divine essence because of  me. Li Jie, almost died because of me. I am sorry, grandfather!" What Hui Ying just said, is not the Devil God.

"I do believe that you can kill the Devil God, precious granddaughter of mine."

"How..?"

"If you have patience, and a pure soul." He started grabbing his divine essence out of his body, and he spit blood out.

"Grandfather! What are you doing?"

"You can do this, Hui Ying. I rely on you." And he put his divine essence in her. And his soul slowly disappeared.

"Grandfather! No....NO!!!" She started sobbing. 

"My...precious granddaughter.." That was his last words, and I still had hope. Hope to defend my wife.

"Anybody that dares to touch Hui Ying, will die in my hands. UNDERSTAND?"

"杀！！" (KILL!) Many immortals came towards me. And I killed them all one by one. I saw that Hui Ying couldn't control the mighty power of the Ancestral God. So I bought time for her.

Many immortals were killed, or injured. But father just stood there doing nothing. Chuntao was also there.

"Traitors, like you. Deserves, to die." I pointed my sword given by my master at Chuntao.

"Li Jie! You have house arrest for now!" 

"Your Majesty, house arrest can not even hurt me a bit. Besides, I can do what I want." 

But all happened too fast. Chuntao rushed to Hui Ying and grabbed her. Then they teleported somewhere.

And my powers were exhausted. The Heavenly guards grabbed me and arrested me.
