chapter 4: her

Li Jie

That idiot. She really thought I'd like her. I would never. She is my forever, and to revive her I need Hui Ying.

"You need to have patience." The old monk said. I really don't believe him this time.

Should I chase Hui Ying? She did left...and I still need her. What if...I could pretend to like her?

I flew as fast as I could to Xiaoyao sect. And I didn't thought there would be guards in the front. I am the God of War, what could they do? Hit me?

"Halt! Who are you and what are you doing here?!" They said.

"You don't recognize me? I am the God of War, Li Jie." They immediatly bowed for me. 

"Where is the medicine queen?" I asked.

"She told me nobody is allowed to see her. The last few days she decided to cultivate, then her maids told me that she eventually fainted. I am really worried about her." 

"So can I see her?" I asked. They better say yes.

"No." I looked deadly at them. "Yes! Yes, I mean yes." 

I walked slowly to her room and looked at her in the garden. She really cultivates hard. I think she also wants to protect men kind. I looked dreamy at her. 

Then she looked at me. Shit. Did she notice? I turned back.

"Li Jie, I see you." She pointed her spear at me. How dare she!

"Since you pointed your spear at me, want to spar?" I asked. It's been a long time I sparred with somebody. 

I flied from the roof to the ground. And grabbed my Ancient sword that I earned from my master.

She made the first move and I blocked. She was really fast. I never saw a girl this fast, she's really good. She always starts to attack me and I blocked. I saw her learning fast from me.

Then she tripped. I quickly throwed my sword and held her. She looked lovely at me. Am I...catching feelings? I...I can't. Then I let her hand go and she felt on the ground.

"Li Jie!" And she grabbed her spear at hit me at my head. That girl...

"Hui Ying, your martial arts are pretty good. But don't force yourself to be better." 

"Why are you here? I thought you hated me."

"I-" 

"I understand. You can go then."

"No, I came here to bring you back."

"Sorry Li Jie, I can't. I have a long way to go on the martial arts world. I didn't even reached Goddesshood."

I must do what she wants to bring her back.

"Hui Ying, I will help you with that. I promise." I said.

"I-" I grabbed her hand and brought her back to Heavenly Realm. It is time to visit my brother, Zixuan.

"Brother, meet Hui Ying. She studied martial arts and is medicine queen." I said. I don't know why, that sounded really cringe.

"Oh. Hello Hui Ying, nice to meet you. I am Zixuan, his brother." He didn't seem to be surprised with Hui Ying.

"Hello." She said. So random. Out of all greetings she could choose, she chose "hello"

"Li Jie, could you leave? I want to talk with Hui Ying." Weird.

-Hui Ying-

Only me? His brother is indeed just a little bit nicer then..nevermind. They are both annoying.

Li Jie left.

"Hello Goddess." He bowed to me.

"What are you doing? Don't...you are a God, while I'm just a lowly immortal." 

"I missed you. Goddess. It's been 10,000 years." What is he talking about? I don't know him.

"Sorry, maybe you've mistaken me for somebody else. I am not a Goddess." 

"Goddess, you might not remember it. Maybe your memories are still sealed." He came toward me and touched a little peace of hair of me. "Will you ask Li Jie to come to me, little fairy?" He asked.

"Y-yeah sure..." And I left.

"Li Jie, your brother is asking you to come." 

"What did he say to you?"

"That is none of your business." 

He walked away.

Li Jie 

My brother is acting weird....

"Brother, what did you say to her?"

"Li Jie, don't you see? She is your little Goddess." 

ossible, she is just Hui Ying. She would never be her. And how could she be alive then? Nobody revived her."

"I know that, but you don't even know her name. "

"You are right..but I didn't asked her! She is just Hui Ying, she can't be her."

"Anyway, let's talk about something more important. At the border of the Heaven and Earth platform are demons and devils attacking. I think the Devil God is coming soon. The Devil God was born in a time with jealousy, anger and sadness. So we need to be more carefull."

"Noted."

"Li Jie, what are you going to do with Hui Ying?" He asked.

"You already figured it out, didn't you?"

"Well that's too-you can't just kill Hui Ying for a girl!"

"She protected me, I want to repay her aswell."

"You are out of your mind Li Jie! You are obsessed. Obsessed with her! It could be that Hui Ying is-"

"No! Zixuan, I think that you are drunk again." And I furiously left.

How could Hui Ying possibly be her?  I would never believe that....
