I came back to my room. I saw Zixuan looking outside.
"Ehem...Zixuan?" I wanted to tell him Li Jie is going to marry me.
"I already know, Hui Ying." Awh...but it's not fun if he already knows...
"So you are not surprised? You...."
"Hui Ying I don't want you to marry him. He doesn't want to marry you because he loves you, but he-"
"Zixuan, you're just jealous. Why don't you have a girlfriend? I think....that Chuntao fits you."
"I got there medicine for you to heal your arm, I'll visit Li Jie." And he left.
Zixuan
She must not fall for Li Jie's evil tricks. He won't marry her because he loves her. He just want to bring that Goddess back from the dead. When will he ever realize that she isn't..
"Zixuan! What are you doing here?" He seemed happy.
"Why are you happy Li Jie? I know you married Hui Ying because you wanted to bring her back from the dead! You can't just use her for that."
"Oooh that. No, no Zixuan. You misunderstood. I thought about it very carefully. You're right brother. I should let her go."
"What do you mean with that?" He can't just simply move on. That's not the Li Jie I know.
"Well, I did like Hui Ying for a couple of months.."
"You idiot!" And I slapped him. I don't know why I did that. Am I jealous? No..
"Heeeyy! Why did you do that? Zixuan, I am honest that I like Hui Ying. Are you...jealous?" He laughed at me. What a evil demon that he is.
"闭嘴." (Shut the fuck up)
"Hm? Why? I do think that Hui Ying doesn't fits you. You two are just good friends. I think Chuntao fits you."
Hui Ying
Maids were looking for the best red wedding dresses in whole Heavenly and Mortal Realm. (In chinese weddings they must wear red, for luck) But then Chuntao came. I am curious if she has anything to say. Especially her promise with Li Jie....
"Hello Hui Ying sister." I don't think that she is a pick me. Li Jie and Chuntao has 6 years difference. I don't think that he likes her.
"Oh hello Chuntao, what are you doing?"
"Well, I wanted to tell you the truth actually about the wedding." She looked innocent. I don't think she would lie. But it did looks like that she is hiding a smile. I think I am just overthinking. Why would she possibly like him? But it's okay, as long as Li Jie doesn't use me for something....
"Oh yeah? Go on, but I don't have much time. I still need to pick accesoires for my wedding."
"OK! So to start, did you know that Li Jie loved a other girl?" A other girl? Loves? Now? What a excuse. Or is she telling the truth?
"Other girl..?" I looked deadly in her eyes. She better not lie.
"Mhm. I am not lying Hui Ying sister, I just don't want you to live in the dark. He loves a other girl, and uses you to enchance her power. He just uses you. He wants to kill you, just for that girl. He doesn't love you." What is she thinking? Why is she suddenly saying this? I thought then... "But this is not it Hui Ying, your mother was killed by him. Zixuan even saw it. You can ask him..Li Jie thought that your mother was working for the Devil God, so he suspected her." What a dumb excuse.
"What a dumb excuse Chuntao."
"That's not it! He got the order to kill her. If you don't believe me, you can ask the Heavenly emperor. I do admit, I was jealous that time so I said that I made a promise with Li Jie. But that girl that he loves.."
"ENOUGH! CHUNTAO, IF YOU KEEP SAYING THIS KIND OF SHIT, I WILL BANISH YOU FROM MY ROOM!"
"I'll take my leave then, Hui Ying."
Li Jie, Li Jie..what are you thinking of me? I felt on my knees on the ground and started sobbing.
"So that is the truth afterall. He used me, just for another girl." Then Zixuan came.
"I know how you are feeling now." He rubbed my back and hugged me. "He doesn't deserve you. But you know Hui Ying, I'll stay from now on forever at your side. If you need me, I'll always be there for you. But don't force yourself. You can always cancel the wedding."
"I know that Zixuan..but you already knew too?" I looked with tears in my eyes.
"I know everything Hui Ying. I do think sometimes that it's stupid, knowing everything about everyone. But sometimes, it's handy."
"Will you trust me, even though I kill somebody on that day? Will you blame me, if I-"
"Never. I swear on the Ancestral God, never. And if I break my promise, I will lose my primordial spirit and never have a chance again to live."
