Tejas POV

Alexander Steele lll seemed like a nice guy. I had made him land close to an apartment that my birth father owned in a city about 600kms from our home. It was old, but mom had kept it clean, renovated and up to date.

He had shook hands and avoided all intimidating glares. I had ordered dinner and opened a bottle of scotch. He knew his capacity and he was open and yet cautious as we sat on the couch with a football match on in the background.

I had asked about his plans for my sister and he had answered without a hint of hesitation, "Ask her to marry me, make her my queen and have a family with her."

So far, my search into his past, present and even plans for the future had been spotless.

The next morning I woke up in my childhood bedroom, as he had slept in my parent's bedroom.

"And what's the status with the Filia associates? Uhmm... Ahann... No, just get me the report in the next few hours." He says, followed by a massive yawn as I walk out. He was in the kitchen brewing coffee.

"No, I want to try and sleep here tonight so not tomorrow for you or tonight for me. In a few hours. That's it." He says sensing me watching him, as he turns to look at me.

"Good morning." He says in his half american accent.

"Morning. I wouldn't have it if I were you." I say as he raises an eyebrow.

"I'm sorry, that was rude. I'm sleep deprived." He says, as I involuntarily smile at his kindness or the facade of it. Damn this guy was no mafia king.

"We are having brunch with a friend of my mother's and his husband who's a cop. The commissioner of police to be precise. Catch a shut-eye because you need to be alert. He's the best of the best." I say as he places the cup of coffee and nods.

"Sure, I... Just... Can I talk to Raavi once?" He asks, as I shake my head.

"After the brunch." I say sitting on the couch. He nods and goes to the bedroom as I get to the already made coffee.

We sat in the open cafe with the soft winter sun shining as I see a familiar yellow mustang being parked. This was dad's idea to get Ambar uncle involved but telling him about the pregnancy was my own gamble.

Alexander didn't know yet that Ambar uncle knows about the pregnancy and I can't wait for this. I love watching criminals being tortured for information, but this was a whole new level. I wanted him to hurt, without hurting Raavi.

"Their here. All the best." I say, as I get up to meet the fiestiest woman ever to grace the Earth with her presence.

"Sammy aunty." I say going to hug the radiant Dr. Samayra as she smiles.

"My baby. Did you increase in height again?" She says barely reaching my shoulder.

"No, I stopped growing ten years ago, maybe with age you've started..." I say missing the word 'slouching' with a wink, as her mouth opens and then she just looks away.

"Never mind, you ARE Daman's son. Always brutally honest." She says, as I smile. She barely looked a day over 30-35, but I won't say that or she'll think of it as buttering.

"How's Nehaal?" I ask as his husband joins us to answer.

"Still a pain in my ass." He says, as he hugs me in a tight, spine-snapping one. "Where's the convict?"
