“Jaeyun, I'm hungry. Can you buy me some bread at the cafeteria? Buy something for Hyejin too.” Mrs Sim suggested but Diane suddenly interrupted, “I can come with you Jakey!”

Hyejin furrowed her eyebrows. Not liking the fact Diane called Jaeyun with such a cute name that she never know. Hard to admit, she's jealous.

Now, it's only Hyejin and Mrs Sim inside the ward. She sat next to the hospital bed, finding the right topic to talk because the last time they met she literally told this woman that she's disappointed on her.

Dang, Park Hyejin.

You just ruined your pride!

“I heard about you working with Jaeyun. How is my son doing lately?” she asked and Hyejin hardly gulped.

“He is doing fine but a few days ago we all are so worried because he suddenly not coming to office. With no notice. I didn't know about your condition, Ma'am.” she answered and Mrs Sim slowly nodded.

Suddenly, silence fills the room only the sound of air conditioner could be heard. Hyejin bite her lips trying to find a courage to talk with the middle age woman. She messed up.

“Mrs Sim, I am sorry about what I said before. I don't know why I acted like that to you. I know I shouldn't interrupted with your family problem but I were so worried about Jaeyun condition. He looks hopeless and full of sadness. I'm really sorry.” she said.

“There is nothing to be sorry with, I know all you did are because of Jaeyun. And I deserved it, I'm a bad mom to him and I have been harsh on him for something that he didn't do. It's must be hard for him living with the thought that I might already hate him.” Mrs Sim answered while caressed Hyejin's cheek.

She smiles, “you're such a good girl, Hyejin, but I don't want my son hurt you again.”

Hyejin interwines their hands and look at Mrs Sim. Didn't realised when her eyes got teary but Hyejin could feels it fell down on her cheek. Once again, she got too emotional.

Maybe because she got no one to tell about her feeling towards Jaeyun. She doesn't know where and whom she would tell. She's so afraid to make decisions because she doesn't want to get hurt again.

“Jaeyun is different now. Even though sometimes he acts like a child but he's change. Most of the time he will give me a company if I decided to stay at the office, brings me to a dinner after work or held me closer all of sudden. I don't know... I don't know what decision should I take. I'm afraid of my own feeling.” she explained between her sniffling voice.

“Hyejin, my dear, tell me now... Do you love my son Jaeyun?” Mrs Sim asked and Hyejin slowly nodded. “Yes, I love Jaeyun.”

Mrs Sim let out a long yet relief sigh. At least she knows, both of them are still learning of knowing each other better. Honestly, she couldn't imagine any girl instead of Hyejin become Jaeyun's wife and her one and only daughter-in-law.

After that, Hyejin excused herself to the toilet. She needs her alone time because her heart is too overwhelmed. She spent almost fifteen minutes in the toilet and decided to go to Mrs Sim's ward.

When she walked out from the toilet, Jaeyun already there waiting for her with his worry expression. All of sudden, Jaeyun pulled her into his embrace and rested her head on his chest.

“Jaeyun?”

“Shh, don't say anything. Let me hug you for awhile. Everything is fine, right? Mom said, you went to the toilet and I'm waiting for you. I'm so worried because you didn't came out but I'm still patiently waiting.”

Please, Jaeyun.

Don't make me weak!

“Everything is fine.” she answered with her cracked voice and Jaeyun immediately cupped her face. “Your eyes... Are you crying? Did... Did mom said something that hurts you?”

She shook her head. Oh, she loves it when Jaeyun cupped her face like this but she can't say it now. She was so stupid for standing up her ego few days ago. If only she gave up and let him showered her with his love then she no need to feel this way.

Jealousy. Guilty.

“No, Jaeyun. We just talked about last time and I guess I'm too overwhelmed with our conversation. Nothing bad happened.” she tried to laugh it off but failed.

Jaeyun then left a few deep kisses on her forehead and down to her both of her temples.

“Do not make me worry, sweet girl. I'm afraid something bad happen to you. Now, let's go to her ward because Hana already arrived and you can meet her.”

“Hmm, alright Jaeyun.”

Both of them walked away, didn't realised someone has been capturing everything. From the moment Jaeyun hugged Hyejin until he kissed her forehead.
