“Thank you for the meal!”

“No biggy, anything for you.”

Hyejin ignores what he said and quickly eat the food. She waited for one hour because Jaeyun said he will brings her for dinner. Of course she can't say no to food.

She didn't say anything and just munching the squid. Both of the ordered the same meal dinner which is jjampong or basically spicy seafood noodles. Hyejin took another sip of the soup.

Her body slowly turned a little bit warmer because of the spiciness of the soup. The golden retriever boy just spare a little glance on Hyejin and secretly form a soft smile.

Oh, God!

I wish I can stroke her head now.

“You like it?”

“Like it very much!” she said with a bright smile. She looks like a young girl who excited over a small thing.

“Anyway, I just remember something. This Friday my parents are making a formal party for me and they asked me to ask you to attend the party, since you're my boss. If you're free you can come and maybe brings your family along.” she said.

“Oh, really? I can't say no to you and I think my mom is so excited to meet you again. She miss you, a lot.” he replied and Hyejin look at Jaeyun.

Both of them accidentally locking in eyes with an awkward feeling. Hyejin gulped, she still remember how sweet Jaeyun's mom was and how the middle age lady treated her. She's a great and nice mom.

She bet how was his mom reaction when Jaeyun tell her about their relationship. Deep inside, she hope him mom never hate her on what she have done to Sim Hana. But she still curious.

Has she ask about Hyejin?

Has she want an explanation?

“I hope your mom is doing fine.” she said.

“She is, but, when she knew what happened between us she was so mad at me. She scolded me because of what I did to you and I explained to her about what happened between you and Hana. She still on your side because she knows you, deserve, a second chance Park Hyejin. And after that I decided to live alone and she didn't even try to stop me.” he told her with a soft chuckled but full of pain.

Hyejin stopped eating when she noticed the chance of Jaeyun's voice. She put down her chopsticks and reached Jaeyun's hands.

“Jaeyun, I'm sorry.”

“It's not your fault, I deserved it. She barely meet me since Hana decided to continue her study here. I'm so glad she has Hana with her. I haven't tell her about you yet and I'm pretty sure she will be so much happier when she heard about you.” he added meanwhile tighten his grip on her hands.

Hyejin's eyes get teary by listening to Jaeyun's problem. She thought nothing bad will happen to him she is wrong all this time. The last five years were the hardest times in Jaeyun life and all because of her.

Jaeyun saw her teary eyes and his other hand quickly held her chin, “hey sweet girl, you don't have to feel sorry I never put the blame on you. It's all on me.”

But Hyejin can't stop herself from crying. After what happened all this year's, she thought she was the only one who got hurts but Jaeyun too. It must be so hard for him to move on and achieve him dream now.

Seeing the tears won't stop Jaeyun stood up and went next to Hyejin. He wrapped his arms along her shoulder, pulled the small body closer into his warm hug. Softly, he caressed her shoulder.

“I never thought you were abandoned by your own mom, Jaeyun. I thought... I thought you'll be fine–”

“Shhh, hey listen to me, I'm fine. I'm always fine as long as I know that out there you are doing well, living your life, achieve your dream. Besides, I finally realised how hard to become an adult with no support but you, Hyejin, you're source of my strength. Nothing can compare to your existence in my life.” he wiped her tears with his warm palm.

Hyejin leaned on his shoulder. She felt a little bit overwhelmed right now.

“Stop crying, I'm in front of you now! Let's eat before the foor get cold. It's not healthy for your stomach.”

“Tsk, fine Mr Jake!”
