[the scene fades in on the 2 men talking]
MAN 1- So what do you think we should do now?
MAN 2- I don't know, we're starting to lose ideas. That blonde chick is good. What's her name again? Lizzy?
MAN 1- No, I think it was Belle.
[BOSS walks in]
BOSS- It's Isabelle you idiots. Now have you figured out how to get her to break?
MAN 2- Not yet boss. But, why do you want to break her? What does that even mean?
BOSS- [snaps] It's none of your damn business. You will do as I say, or it'll be both of your lives in my hands.
MAN 1- [nervous] Of course boss!
MAN 2- [nervous] Y-yeah! Of course!
BOSS- Good. Now, I came up with something earlier. How about we hurt someone Isabelle loves? She hates seeing others in pain; That'll get her to break.
MAN 1- But boss, how do you know this?
BOSS- I have my ways.
[the scene fades out with BOSS evil chuckling]
[the scene fades in on ISABELLE's bedroom with ISABELLE sleeping peacefully and JACOB sleeping on the edge of her bed. ISABELLE slowly wakes up and rubs her eyes, then sees JACOB sleeping]
ISABELLE- Jacob?
JACOB- [mumbles] 5 more minutes...
ISABELLE- [gently shakes him] Jacob!
[JACOB lifts his head and rubs his eyes, then looks as ISABELLE]
JACOB- I'm sorry for snapping at you last night...
ISABELLE- It's ok Jacob.
JACOB- No, it's not. A stupid apology isn't good enough. Oh! I know! Stay here, I'll be back.
[JACOB leaves the room for a few minutes, then comes back with breakfast]
JACOB- I know you mentioned once how you'd like to have breakfast in bed, so I think now would be perfect!
ISABELLE- Thank you Jacob, you're really sweet. Here, come sit with me.
[JACOB sits next to her on her bed as ISABELLE eats]
JACOB- Did I burn anything? Is it cooked all the way?
ISABELLE- [mouth full] It's really good.
JACOB- Thank god. So, how'd you sleep?
ISABELLE- I slept really great, I even woke up with a smile on my face for some reason. Maybe my body was just happy about something, but I don't know.
[JACOB grins really wide and his heart flutters]
JACOB- Hey, I have an idea: how about you take the day off with me? Ya know, relax a little! Hell, we could take the rest of this month off!
ISABELLE- About that, I--
[phone rings]
JACOB- What is with your phone and interrupting things?
ISABELLE- It's the Chief. [picks up] Yes sir? / Woah woah, calm down. What's going on? / Oh, ok. / What? But he's always with me, he's an amazing helper. / Yes sir, I'll be there right away. [hangs up]
JACOB- What's going on?
ISABELLE- The chief needs me over there; he says it's urgent.
JACOB- Alright, let's go!
