[the scene fades in on the 2 men panicking]
MAN 1- What do we do?! The boss is gonna be so pissed!
MAN 2- I know! It's like, how did we mess up?!
[BOSS walks in]
BOSS- Because Isabelle is good at talking, that's how.
MAN 1- Well what do we do now boss?
BOSS- I think we'll have to move to the last resort. I want you two to get Jacob and bring him back to me. Here's what he looks like.
[the BOSS hands the men a picture of JACOB holding ISABELLE]
MAN 2- Got it. It'll be done by tonight.
BOSS- It better be. And I want him back alive.
MAN 1 & 2- Yes sir!
[the scene fades out]
[the scene fades in on JACOB's bedroom where JACOB and ISABELLE are asleep holding each other, and ISABELLE is starting to wake up]
ISABELLE- [rubbing her eyes] What time is it...? [turns to JACOB] Morning Jacob... [whisper shouts] JACOB?!
[ISABELLE looks at him sleeping peacefully, and her eyes go wide]
ISABELLE- [whispers] Was he cuddling me the whole time we were sleeping? [relaxes] That's actually really adorable...
[ISABELLE moves his hair out of his face and stares at him and whispers to herself]
ISABELLE- Why do I feel this way towards you? Why does my heart flutter when you're doing literally anything? God... you're so perfect and I could never ask for another best friend like you, because you're one of a kind. [she pauses] Is this what love is...? No, no. Psh, no way. We're friends, best friends, I can't fall in love with my own best friend. Can I...? [shakes her head] No, no no no. I can't. It's wrong, I don't want to ruin what we have, plus I highly doubt you'd feel the same. [pauses] What if Detective Crawford was right?
[ISABELLE's phone goes off and it's a text message from CHIEF REEVES. ISABELLE tries to get up to read it, but JACOB pulls her back and holds her]
ISABELLE- [gently shakes JACOB] Jacob, wake up. We need to go see the chief.
JACOB- [half awake and whining] Noo I don't want to go to school mom...
ISABELLE- [picks up a pillow and wacks him with it] Jacob! Get up!
JACOB- [groans and rubs his eyes] Good morning Izzy...
[JACOB fully opens his eyes and his eyes go wide]
JACOB- Were we cuddling last night?
ISABELLE- Yeah.
JACOB- While asleep?
ISABELLE- Yes.
JACOB- And woke up together?
ISABELLE- Mhm.
JACOB- Can you slap me to see if I'm dreaming real quick?
[ISABELLE smacks him across the face]
JACOB- Ow! That hurt!
ISABELLE- So are you dreaming?
JACOB- [calm] Nah, this is real.
[silence]
JACOB- [panic] OH MY GOD WE SLEPT TOGETHER.
ISABELLE- Ok it sounds weird when you say it like that.
