EPISODE 7 (SAVE CHIEF REEVES)

[ISABELLE looks at both buttons, then presses the left button, which shines a green light over CHIEF REEVES and a red light over JACOB]

DETECTIVE CRAWFORD- Would you like to tell me why you chose to save Chief Reeves?

ISABELLE- Jacob was right, you can only have one true father figure in your lifetime, and I don't want to lose that again.

[DETECTIVE CRAWFORD smiles and presses the button, sending a bullet through JACOB's chest. 2 bridges form so she and CHIEF REEVES can go see him and she runs to him. She holds JACOB in her arms and bawls]

ISABELLE- [scream crying] I'm so sorry Jacob! I'm so sorry!

JACOB- Izzy...

ISABELLE- I wish I could've saved you too! I'm so sorry!

[JACOB puts his finger on ISABELLE's lips to stop her talking, then he pulls his hand back]

JACOB- I need to tell you something before I die...

ISABELLE- [sniff] What is it?

JACOB- I'm in love with you. I've been in love with you for 4 years. The night that I snapped at you, I went into your room while you slept and confessed to you and kissed you on the head; the fact that you woke up smiling because of that warmed my heart.

[ISABELLE smiles and cries while JACOB wipes the tears off of her face]

ISABELLE- I love you too.

JACOB- [smiles with a tear falling down his cheek] I wish I could've lived longer to be your boyfriend, or lived even longer to be your husband.

[ISABELLE leans down and gives him a gentle kiss as JACOB's body becomes limp and lifeless. She holds him very tightly while she shakes and cries and a tear falls down CHIEF REEVES' face]

DETECTIVE CRAWFORD- Alright alright, you've said your goodbyes and he's dead now. Now let him go.

[ISABELLE shakes her head and keeps JACOB in her arms]

DETECTIVE CRAWFORD- [stern] Did I stutter? Let him go.

ISABELLE- [screams] NO!

[DETECTIVE CRAWFORD storms up and forces ISABELLE off of JACOB and drags her away]

ISABELLE- [scream crying] Jacob! No!

[CHIEF REEVES runs after DETECTIVE CRAWFORD and tries to grad ISABELLE, but DETECTIVE CRAWFORD knocks him down]

DETECTIVE CRAWFORD- We made a deal! You chose to kill Jacob and save Reeves. Now you belong to me--!

[a shot it heard from behind ISABELLE and DETECTIVE CRAWFORD. They both turn around and see CHIEF REEVES holding his gun. DETECTIVE CRAWFORD lets go of ISABELLE and falls to the floor. ISABELLE runs to CHIEF REEVES and hugs him tightly, then officers burst through the door]

OFFICER- Chief, we're glad that we found you. Were there any casualties-- [looks down at DETECTIVE CRAWFORD] Oh, there it is.

CHIEF REEVES- Well, there's one more casualty.

[ISABELLE brings the officer to JACOB and kneels next to him]

OFFICER- Would you like a moment with him?

ISABELLE- That would be great...

OFFICER- Let me know when you're ready.

[ISABELLE takes out her flower beret and looks at it]

ISABELLE- Remember when you bought this for me? It was when we had our first fight and you bought it for me as an apology. [sniff] I've worn it ever since because it holds a special place in my heart. [she places the beret in his hands and closes them] I want you to have it, so a part of me is always with you...

[ISABELLE takes a deep breath]

ISABELLE- You can take him away now.

[the officers wrap him up with cloth and take him away. She looks behind her and looks at CHIEF REEVES. He holds his arms out to her and she runs to him and gives him a hug and cries in his arms as the scene fades]

[time passes to the next day when ISABELLE has to leave, she is at the airport with CHIEF REEVES]

CHIEF REEVES- It was an honor working with you. I'm going to miss you, you know; everyone is.

ISABELLE- Don't worry, I'll be back. This is my home town.

CHIEF REEVES- I didn't know that.

ISABELLE- [smiles] Well now you do!

[ISABELLE checks the time]

ISABELLE- Shoot, I have to go.

CHIEF REEVES- I wish you could stay. You've been an amazing help around the station.

[ISABELLE gives him a hugs and starts to leave, but goes back]

ISABELLE- Oh, I got you something! [she hands him a mug] It's more of a joke, but I thought you'd like it.

[CHIEF REEVES looks at the other side of the mug that reads "World's Best Work Dad"]

CHIEF REEVES- [smiles] Thank you.

ISABELLE- [eyes widen and smiles] You're smiling!

CHIEF REEVES- [Smiles wider] I guess I am! Now go, you don't want to miss your flight.

ISABELLE- Shoot! You're right!

[ISABELLE gives CHIEF REEVES one last hug]

ISABELLE- I'm gonna solve crimes in Florida, just like you do!

[ISABELLE goes up the escalator and CHIEF REEVES smiles as she leaves. The camera focuses on him]

CHIEF REEVES- That's my girl...

[the scene fades and the credits play]
