I am in the audience
Watching, staring, focusing
I'm watching all my friends move on
Find new people
Discover new things
But I don't want to interrupt the performance
So I watch, I stare, I focus
And I barely move an inch
As I see all my friends leave stage right
And then it's only me
Alone, watching, staring, focusing
And only when the performance is over
May I finally come to terms with the fact that I am
The one who bought the ticket.
