I rolled my eyes, continuing to type away at the keys. I couldn't help how I felt about Lucas, because somewhere, deep inside my heart, I was still in love with him, but I would never throw myself away for a nigga. They should put that shit in the bible.
Once Lucas came out, he made direct eye contact with me.
"Is there anything I can help you with?" I asked, he looked around, then looked back at me.
"Sorry." Lucas then left, leaving me with way more questions than I had before.
About a week had passed since I started working for Chairman Kang, I started to notice a few things about him. He didn't like sweets, such a weird thing, but whenever he got anything sweet, that included creamer in his coffee, candy, or even something that looked sweet, he would throw it out. Therefore, he liked his coffee black, didn't eat candy, and his office smelled like cologne and something warm, it wasn't a smell I could really name, but it smelled good.
Another thing I had come to learn about Chairman Kang is that he didn't like color, he wore mostly black, whites and grays if its a good day, sometimes maroon when he's feeling frisky, and around his finger was a golden band, it was basic, no carvings or anything special about it, it was worn on his pointer finger, so it must've been a gift, from a lover? Maybe, Chairman Kang was a handsome man, I wouldn't be surprised if he was engaged. The band reminded me of something, though I couldn't put my finger on it.
Chairman Kang liked routines, something he could stick to orderly, something he could follow so that nothing went wrong, and when something did, you could almost see a flicker in his eyes, it felt like anger, like malice, like murder. Chairman Kang had eyes that could kill, and he knew that, he used them when trying to win over buyers.
"Ms. Hadden, are you alright?" I cleared my throat, looking up from my desk, Secretary Joon left a week ago, but I still got his phone number because he was cool as hell. A tall man stood over me, lean, longer hair, but what stood out were his defined dimples, he smiled, turning his head.
"I'm sorry, how may I help you?" I asked, he leaned back, looking at Chairman Kang's office door.
"Is Dak-Ho in there?" He asked, looking back at me another grin on his face.
I rung into his office, he answered with a tired tone.
"Mr..." I looked up, the man realized and replied.
"Lee Kwan." I sighed.
"Mr. Lee Kwan is here to see you." I felt like I could hear his groan through the door.
"Let him in." He sighed.
I nodded, letting Lee Kwan know he could enter.
I noticed the tattoo behind his ear, I couldn't read it fast enough, though, since it was in Korean, and his hair ended up covering it either way.
I leaned back, hoping I could party this weekend away.
BANG!
Well, nevermind then.
