Milan

This was the first time in a long time that I had left the house. Kwan said it was a gift for the way he acted a few nights before. It was the weekend before he had to attend and host a bunch of dinners, he explained that I wouldn't be seeing him as much then.

I sighed, I didn't see him much anyways.

We headed into a mall, shopping for clothes.

I laughed with him, it was the first time in a a long time.

"This'll look cute on you," he held up a granny dress, flowers imprinted all over it, I gave him a side eye, sucking my teeth.

"Word?" I smirked, grabbing a dark red dress which showed a lot of cleavage. "Try this on." I handed it to him, pushing him into the dressing rooms before he could argue. It was silent for a moment, but I heard a zipper and sat down, giggling.

After a few moments he came out, tugging the dress up as much as he could. His muscular body couldn't hide, he didn't even make eye contact with me, I was on the verge of dying.

"Why do you actually look good?!" I cried out, wheezing. He put his hand on his hip, making a face. My laugh was healthy, it made my soul feel so much lighter.

"Are you done?" He said, his face looked a little frustrated as I tried to see people watching him.

"Yeah, yeah." Suddenly I felt heavier.

I didn't laugh like that again afterwards.

We then headed out to go eat, I recommended a place, remembering someone recommended it to me.

It was a sandwich place and we ate for a while, he watched me, looking around him as he didn't touch his food.

I felt fat asking him, "are you not going to eat?"

He turned around to look at me. "I am, I think I might bring it home, I'm just full right now."

I watched his eyes go to a young girl, her hair was blonde and she looked to be a little over 17. My brows furrowed. I wiped my mouth, heading to the restroom.

Washing my hands and looking in the mirror I tried to talk myself out of the strange feeling I got being out with him.

The stall behind me opened, the girl washed her hands, fixing her makeup before stopping. I didn't look up, feeling her eyes on me.

She walked out, not saying anything at all. I walked out a few moments after, seeing Kwan talking to the girl from earlier.

"M-mimi?" I heard a voice say. I turned to see Elijah, his eyes getting teary.

I only stared at him, he came forward, hugging me so tight I couldn't breathe.

He took away any doubt that he was on the same team as Bree.

"Eli.." I muttered, but he only hugged me tighter.

"Don't say anything. Not yet." We stood in the hall of the sandwich shop, hugging each other.
