*Four days later*
There he stood, his hair cut, clean shaven, and wearing noble's clothing; I was so proud. Fenris on the other hand, refused to come out of our room, because he wouldn't wear noble's clothes.
"Come on, Fenris. I'm wearing them and they don't look so bad." Anders grinned, turning and wiggling his butt, Fenris sat on the bed and scowled.
"I don't need you 'wiggling' in front of me, mage, unless you wish me to rip out your heart from your back." I chuckled.
"As nice as the 'wiggling' is, you need to find a woman who will enjoy it much more than us, Anders." Said mage chuckled as well.
"Fine, fine." He turned around, "I guess i'll go find a woman, then." Walking to the door, Anders opened it to find Aedan leaning against the doorway.
"Wiggling, huh?" Anders immediately slammed the door in his face.
"Was that-?" I began.
"-No." Anders finished, his face cherry red. Aedan opened the door with a pout.
"Ah, come on..I'm not that bad!" Fenris growled, falling backwards on the bed.
"Not another annoying mage!"
"You love me, Fen!"
"I do not!"
"Stop!" I shouted, laughing in amusement, "What brings you here, Aedan?" The look of guilt he gave me almost told me his answer. "You want me to hide you, don't you?"
"Yes...?" He said warily, eyeing me.
"Question," Anders spoke up, "What did you do?"
"I killed a man.." Blinking, the three of us continued to stare at him.
"That's nothing new, Aedan..." Anders sighed.
"We all kill for a practical living, Aedan." I added, said mage rolled his eyes.
"Cullen is Knight-Commander now, I killed his Knight-Captain..." Silence fell on us, before my ears and tail popped out, my tail beginning to wag.
"Well good for you!" I cheered.
"Now what are you to do?" Fenris asked.
"Start new with you guys, most likely flirt with the king."
"Oi!" Anders shouted, I laughed.
"Go for it!" With that encouragement, the male mage left the room. Sighing, I turned towards Fenris, who slowly raised his eyebrow and stared at me. "So, about that noble's outf-"
"-No!" Fenris yelled.
"Well then stay in this room, no love for you." I grinned as I said it, Fenris began to frown, "Your choice." Shrugging, he merely growled, beginning to grumble something about me being evil like a Magister before he snatched up the neatly folded clothing from the edge of the bed.
"Leave." He growled. Victoriously, I turned and led Anders from the room.

I've never felt so humiliated, yet somehow free. I looked at myself in the mirror, rather admiring the way I looked. Sighing, I walked to the door, praying to the maker Anders had run off somewhere as I opened it. To my relief, he wasn't there, only Lia was there smiling at me.
"You look quite dashing, if I do say so myself, sweetheart." Her compliment was rewarded by a shy kiss before I looked down, blushing madly.
"I feel like a fool...yet somehow freed." My chin was lifted up and Lia kissed me.
"That's normal to feel, us elves don't exactly become nobility on a regular basis."
"True." Taking her hand in mine, I began to walk, she slightly sauntered next to me. "I take it our children are with the tutor?" I asked, Lia nodded, "What are they learning about?"
"Tevinter, magic, scholarly things, I don't know." Lia waved her free hand around her head dismissively.
"Why magic?"
"Well, Anders and Aedan are mages are they not? It'll be hard to explain should they pull a stunt. Plus.." She trailed off, making me frown with worry.
"What?"
"Drea and Kana were born with lyrium birth marks, and only Drea has that phasing ability like you." That made me stop completely.
"What?!"
"Shh, Fenris, I knew you'd be upset.." My markings began to glow.
"Damn Danarius! Damn him to the Black city!"
"If he isn't already there." Lia shrugged, making me calm and chuckle.
"I..apologize..I just wanted my children to be born normal."
"Relatively, anyway." I chuckled as she smiled at me.
"Yes, relatively."
"See? All better." Sighing, I began walking again.
"Shall we to dinner? It will be interesting to see people's reactions."
"To Fenris with no armor on? I think yes." Lia smiled, I rolled me eyes.
"Shut up."
(Lia's P.O.V)
In the middle of dinner, Aedan got up from his place and sat at the head of the table and began to flirt with King Alistair, who was growing increasingly flustered. Anders and Fenris were standing at their places across the table, going back and forth at each other in a heated argument, the typical mage, templar, I was a slave, Justice blew up the chantry; so on and so forth. Drea sat intently watching her father and uncle point accusing fingers at each other, and slamming hands down, while Kana sat eating quietly next to me. I sat watching it all with my chin resting on the palm of my hand and a soft smile on my face. If I didn't have to kill anymore, if we didn't have to run away, my life here would make me happy. I would easily forget all the past moments that led to this point, but i'm glad they happened, because I have a place to belong, and a family of my own to belong to. That's the one trouble with us misfits, only mine, are over. For now.
