Rio had invited her to yet another block party.

Did she refuse? No.

Was she going to regret it? Most likely.

But her main reason as to why she didn't want to go had been Miles. And seeing as how they had been meeting frequently since then, she decided not to pay as much attention to it anymore.

So she got all dolled up ans headed to her old neighborhood.

The familiar buildings brought her a sense of calmness, which she would need it before dealing with you-know-who.

She could hear the blasted reggaeton playing from the rooftop as she approached the Morales home.

As she opened the door, Rio instantly spotted her and pulled her into a deep hug. She had grabbed (Name)'s hand and led her through the party for greetings.

People were less surprised to see her and had grown accustomed to her recurring presence at Rio's frequent celebrations. But were still excited to see her nonetheless.

After grabbing a drink, she climbed up to the water tower to fully take in the night sky. She leaned against the metal of the tower. The peaceful breeze blowing softly in her face only added to the calming nature of the beautiful night.

But of course, it could only remain peaceful for so long.

Footsteps were heard climbing up the tower as she internally groaned. Turning around, she was met with the scene of Miles "carefully" climbing up to her.

Her eyebrows raised as he walked towards her.

"You know for a criminal, I would think you'd be a little more quieter before sneaking up on someone."

He laughed. "Wasn't tryna be sneaky princesa."

"Whatchu doin' up here all alone?"

"Trying to be alone." She retorted as a familiar melody flooded her ears.

[You already know this love is all yours baby. So take it.]

Miles let out a soft smile as he extended his hand.

She raised her eyebrow, questioning his antics.

"Baila conmigo mamí."

[We've been here before it's strong enough to save us. Oh baby.]

She pushed his hand back. "I don't think so pretty boy. And from what I remember, you were a pretty shitty dancer."

"I got better. C'mon."

She stared him down. Eyes narrowing as they raked down his phrame.

Sighing, (Name) hesitantly held out her hand as he guided her to the center of the surface they were standing on.

His fingers laced with hers as their hips moved to the rhythm of the song.

[Can't avoid it.
Can't escape my love cause it's yours.]

Their eyes locked and (Name) really got a good look of him.

He had gotten older. His handsome face showed the harsh lines of hardship. He was a boy that had to grow up too fast.

She looked deeply into his light, hazel eyes. It was as if she caught a glimpse of his soul. He looked so tired. Like the weight of the world rested on his shoulders.

[Even if you walk out the door
It'll chase you lover.]

He was taller than she remembered. He looked almost a foot taller than her at this angle.
