You've Changed - Earth!42 Miles Morales x Reader

Notes YOU MUST KNOW

I'm writing this to kinda fill in the time before I put out the finale.

Sooooo here are some details that I never really mentioned in the story:

- Miles calls (Name) princesa because they were younger and they used to have playdates and have fun. They decided to play royalty pretend where he would be the knight and she'd be the princess. Then depending on whose house they were at, the parents would be the bad dragon and the wizard. Anyways. After that day, he called her princesa and never stopped. It was never like a pet name but a childish nickname.

- (Name) fully understands Spanish, but can only speak a little bit. Even if you are the reader and you're not hispanic, in the story you grew up around latinos, so you picked it up. So it don't matter if you're Latino or not.

- Both of Miles' parents would cheer (Name) up whenever Miles would go after a new girl. Some days, (Name) would show up to their house
asking for Miles, but only being met with Mr. Davis' solemn face. He'd being her inside and sit her down while Rio would bring all of them café con leche y pan sobao. They'd sit down and tell her that one day he'd see that the person he's been missing was right there all along. It would give her hope, but not much. Then when he'd come home, they'd scold him and tell him to go apologize to (Name) for blowing her off. And she'd forgive him. Every time.

- Miles has liked (Name) for the longest time. But at first he tried to push it down since he didn't want to ruin their friendship. At first he settled with going for other girls to change his mind about her. Then he started going after girls to make her jealous. He played with (Name)'s heart so many times and it was cruel. Ganke had even talked to him about it at one point. He shrugged it off as if it was nothing, and didn't seem bothered by it since (Name) didn't show him any reactions. Then when he finally realized that she was the one he'd always wanted, he lost his chance by pushing her friendship to the side. You know the rest :)

- (Name) became a cop because of Miles' dad. She wanted to follow in his footsteps and become a righteous and justice-giving cop. She also wanted a reason to come back to Brooklyn to hunt down the Prowler. Even if it didn't seem like it. She wanted to rub it in Miles face by being a cop. But look how that turned out right?

- (Name)'s family isn't really talked about, because she is barely at their house, so not many interactions between them ensued. But her little brother and her are very close.

- (Name) struggled with body dysmorphia and insecurity during her time in middle and high school. No thanks to Miles. There was always something wrong with her. He would point out a feature he viewed on a girl that he thought was "ugly" and (Name) would realize she had that feature or similar one. She hated how she had looked because of him and hated herself for a while before she developed her newfound sense of encouragement and confidence.

- Ganke had liked (Name) in high school, but Miles would always push it off and kinda talk shit abt her to Ganke. Like for example, he would say "Nah man you don't want her. She's a nerd. She's into this this this and this." Then Ganke eventually realized that
1. She didn't like him back.
2. They had nothing in common.
Tbh it was just Miles being jealous again fr. Toxic ash.

- (Name) would get small presents for Miles on his birthday. It started when they were younger and for the first birthday he spent with her, (Name) had made them both matching rainbow loom bracelets. And she kept doing it every year up until she switched schools. (Yes she even gave him gifts when Miles was ignoring her. She gave is to his mom when she realized he left for school earlier than usual.)

- Miles actually texted (Name) after she moved. When he saw her car leave he went to shoot her a text saying. "Hey." You know, like how exes do when they suddenly miss you or whatever. Yeah. Yeah...

- Miles has drawings of her EVERYWHERE. He draws her in his free time. When he first started tagging the walls, he threw up some art he had of her. In every one of his pictures (even if it has nothing to do with you), he'll put your initials somewhere on his art piece. He has sketchbooks filled with your face. But he'd never let her see that though. It'd damage his ego. One of his girlfriends had broken up with him after she found it actually. She got mad and threw his sketchbook. He didn't care about her leaving, he just cared about the drawings.
