As a child, F/N had only his father to rely on. Being a single parent in Korea was challenging enough, but their situation was further complicated by the constant threat of a powerful Awakened faction hunting his father. F/N's father, a scientist specializing in advanced Force Control experiments, was always on the run to keep them safe. This meant they frequently moved, changing homes, schools, and jobs in a desperate bid to stay ahead of their pursuers.
As F/N grew older, his own Awakened abilities began to surface, much like other children with similar gifts. Recognizing the increased risk this posed, his father decided they needed a more permanent and secure place to live. They eventually settled in a quiet, unassuming neighborhood, hoping to blend in and avoid drawing any attention. For now, it seemed they had managed to escape the immediate danger, allowing them a brief respite from the relentless pursuit that had defined their lives thus far.
During this period, F/N met another boy his age named Jiwoo Seo. Unbeknownst to Jiwoo, he was also Awakened. His mother, Yujeong Kang, was aware of his true nature but kept it hidden from him, as she was only human herself.
Yujeong Kang worked for a foreign pharmaceutical company specializing in researching the Awakened. She lived in constant fear of what might happen if Jiwoo's abilities were discovered. Her demanding job often kept her away from home, leaving Jiwoo to spend much of his time with F/N and his father. Despite their unusual circumstances, F/N and Jiwoo quickly developed a strong friendship.
