Glitched Memories [FNAF AU | Story 1]

~+[ Chapter 52 | Late Night Stalking ]+~

Later that night Elizabeth would just be laying in bed as she couldn't stop thinking about what Vanessa had said to her in their text messages as she seemed only concerned for Michael's safety but she would just try her best to shrug off the feeling as she just went onto Youtube on her phone to watch some videos mainly involving true crime cases as one was about a old mansion where all the servants and guests were found dead but the murderer was never seen or heard from again as the case was called the 'Broken Heart Mansion Case'.

The case seemed to interest the girl as she started reading some news articles and some other things about the case which sparked her interest and especially about the murderer, who was supposedly one of the two mansion owner's sons as the mansion owner had two twin sons who took over the mansion but stayed disguised as butlers for some odd reason. 

As the girl stayed up just watching videos on her phone she'd hear what sounded like the kitchen window being opened telling by the fact it had a distinct squeak and creaking sound to it when it opened, like it was hard to open since it was. Both her and her brother Michael left their rooms and glanced at each other and noticed the sound was coming from the kitchen as they slowly walked towards the kitchen and would see Lexi closing the window.

"I- Lexi what the hell are you doing?!-" said Elizabeth to Lexi. "Hm? Oh sorry to wake you both- I was closing the window since I saw it was opened while I was on sleep mode" said Lexi as something caught Elizabeth's eye which was the back door as it looked as though it was left cracked open. "Alright fine well once your done with that can you just leave whatever windows that are left open right now aLONE?" said Michael to the animatronic.

"Sure but don't get mad at me if a Racoon or some other wild animal breaks in here through the window-" said Lexi as he went back down onto sleep mode once the window was closed and once he went back to his regular spot.

Michael would just shake his head from side to side as he walked away back into his room. "..." Elizabeth just walked over to the back door and closed it before then locking it as she just turned around and walked away back to her room, but she couldn't help but feel as though they were being watched from the shadows but she just shrugged as she entered her room and laid back down onto her bed so she could sleep.

Michael meanwhile would just yawn as he entered his room and would walk over to his bed as he just sat down and before he could lay down, he'd hear the door to his room slowly creak and close shut as Michael only looked at the door with confusion till he walked over to the door.

Once he was close enough he'd feel someone grab his shirt and toss him onto the ground before getting on top of him and putting a knife to his neck as he just sat there just trying to see who it was that was in the dark but he couldn't, even though the remnant in his body allowed him to see 10 times clearer in the dark, he for some odd reason couldn't see who or what was in front of him as he just tried his best to get up but whoever was on top of him would make the blade of the knife lay more pressure onto his neck making him flinch in pain.

"You abandoned me...h o w  c o u l d  y o u  a b a n d o n  m e ? !" said a feminine voice as some tears would land on Michael's face as Michael realized who it was. "J-juno?" said he as Michael tried to get up but would only accidentally cut his neck a small bit. "D O N ' T call me that! And ESPECIALLY after you LEFT ME AND YOUR DAUGHTER!" said Mary as she glared at the man. "OK ok I get it your mad but there's a GOOD reason why I left you both...honestly..." said Michael as he looked at Mary with a scared look.

Michael would carefully reach for a small flashlight in his pocket as he pointed it up at the ceiling and would turn it on so Mary could see his expression but also so he could see Mary. The woman would just look at Michael and notice his scared expression before then looking at his neck and noticing the cut that was slowly healing as she just lifted up the knife from his neck and would get off of him as she sat on the floor in front of him as he just sat up correctly while holding his neck in pain.

 "H-how...wh-" Mary didn't know what to say as Michael sighed. "I died on October 15th, A week after Vanessa was born...To be honest, On that day I never meant to abandon you both...The reason why I left was because well, When I died, I wasn't myself for a while...I wasn't in control of myself, I was decaying, and well, I didn't want you or poor little Vanessa to witness that...I didn't want to scare you both by the fact I looked and probably smelled like rotting roadkill...Also, for how I'm even still alive and for how I managed to heal the cut on my neck, it's because of this thing my father created called Remnant, It was meant to be a immortality project thing for him to stay alive and never die but I don't know, It's kept me alive somehow for so long plus made me slowly heal back to normal...ish-" said Michael as he looked at Mary who said nothing but her shocked expression softened as she just slightly moved over to Michael and just hugged him.

"I'm just so glad you're alright though.." said she as the woman started crying again. "..." Michael said nothing as he hugged her back before then looking up at the door out of his room and would see Evan and Elizabeth peaking into the room and looking at the two as Elizabeth was holding a knife while Evan had a bat as they were prepared for whatever danger Michael was in even though be kinda wasn't in any to begin with.

"Again, I'm so SO sorry for abandoning you both, I never meant to do that...and never will I do that ever again..." said he as Michael looked at the woman. "Promise?..."

"Promise" Michael replied to Mary as he helped her and him get up. Evan and Elizabeth would have quickly sped off and hid in the hallway with Lexi as he also was powered on again but only because he heard Mary yelling at Michael.

As Michael left his room with Mary, he'd walk towards the kitchen with her and would flip on a nearby switch to turn the kitchen light on as he walked away over to the coffee machine and would start it up so he could brew some coffee for the woman.

"So...about your dad...Whatever happened to him?" Mary asked. "He died in a dumb springlock suit- OH, that reminds me, After I died, I went after him and tried to find him since well, the dumb fuck left me to die in a underground pizzeria so yea-" said Michael as he looked over at Mary who just sat at the dining room table while just looking at the knife she had with a look of regret.

"Can't believe I just let myself get so upset and almost kill you..." said Mary quietly. "Eh it's alright, It happens, And look at what happened to me after my brother almost died" said he while lightly chuckling. "Wait, I thought he died?" she replied.

"Nope, His death was a cover up to the fact he was still alive and just in a coma for an extremely long time, heh, he had such long hair when he woke up he didn't even know how it got to that length, I think it was almost 10 feet long, and he honestly thought for a quick second he woke up as a brown haired version of Rapunzel because of his long hair, made him start crying cause he didn't want to be a girl" said he as Mary just giggled a small bit by that.

"Aww...Wish I knew so I could be there to comfort him then style and cut his hair for him" said she while smiling a small bit. "Yea, heh, though at the time he woke up I was already a dead corpse-" said he. "Hm, I see.." said she as Mary just slid the knife away from herself as Michael quickly grabbed it before it slid off of the table.
