In the midst of your utter bamboozlement, you were hauled to your feet by Elio's strong arms in one quick pull. Elio's build was insane, and he didn't even go to the gym every day. You reached only up until his broad chest, his strong arms laying limp by his sides.
He turned to Ajax, his arms crossed.
"Too weak to stop a girl falling, Gingerbread?" he said, one eyebrow cocked and his lips twisted in a teasing grin. You tried to suppress your laugh at the nickname.
Ajax brushed dust off his blazer and gave Elio a look up and down.
"What's your name?" he asked.
"Elio Akashi." your friend replied, hands on his hips.
"Well, Akashi, I don't like that tone of yours. There are things you don't understand, things you better keep your nose out of."
You patted the frowning Elio's arm firmly as a warning to go.
"I was just messing with you, anyway." he said gruffly. "Jeez, you really aren't one to joke with, are you?"
And with that, before you could have your say, Mura pushed you out of the way and down to the other end of the cafeteria. You lifted your arm up, and there was a burn mark on your wrist, starting to gain blisters.
Why did it burn when he touched you?

After lunch, you had Geography class. You were getting ready to head there, books from your locker in your arms, before you twisted and came to face to face with one of the staff.
"Hello, miss." you said, a little smile on your face. She was the principal's secretary, a kind young woman in her twenties with glasses and a top knot.
"Oh, hello, Y/N!" she simpered. "I was just looking for you, by the way! Principal Allens wanted to see you next period!"
"N- Next period?" you stammered, eyes blinking. "But I have Geography-"
"He knows, but this is really rather... important, shall we say?"
She leaned in closer, whispering in your ear.
"There've been government officials from the Ministry of Defence here since the morning and they've been demanding to see you." she muttered.
... Huh?
You?
Some off-the-map girl with almost no family?
"Just get to his office now, because Principal Allens doesn't look happy."
She frowned.
"And God protect us all, because neither does the government."
~~~
What could the Ministry of Defence want with you?
You made your way towards the door on the farthest side of the second floor, straightening your crimson uniform and the tie on your chest. You tucked your shirt into your skirt and pulled up your socks, fixing your hair quickly.
You tried not to look scared as you rapped twice on the door of Principal Allens' office.
"Come in."
You could see faint silhouettes through the frosted glass. You shoved away your fear and opened the door. There was Principal Allens, his elbows resting on his wide desk, chin on his intertwined hands.
"Ah, Y/N L/N. In you come, in... have a seat."
More glaringly obvious was the seven men in suits behind him. And to your disbelief, Ajax.
