Chapter 1:Welcome Back

Chapter 1:Welcome Back
As I looked out my bedroom window, I was shocked to see my childhood bestfriend, Noah getting boxes from a moving van. Noah's face looked the same as it always had with his green eyes and hair the perfect shade of brown, a square jaw, but his nerdy t-shirts had been switched out for a plain white v-neck and a leather jacket.
I ran out the door passing my parents arguing as usual, you would think my dad would have moved out or something since they were getting a divorce, but they both wanted to be there to help out my older sister Ashley. Ashley was 6 months pregnant, but the dad left her as soon as he found out, he said they were too young(they are only 19 years old).
"Emilia, where are you going?," they said in unison. "Noah is back!, I want to go say hi," I said racing out the door.
When I got outside, I rushed to Noah and hugged him saying, "I'm so glad you're back, I've missed you so much!" He gave me a quizzical look and pushed me away much to my dismay. "Who are you and why the fuck are you hugging me!?" He says. "Noah, it's Emilia we were best friends when you lived here," I said surprised. "That was ten years ago not now, what makes you think I still want to hang out with you, I have better things to do go away," he says.
I run back into my house in tears, Noah isn't the same as he used to be. He went from the sweetest boy on earth who cried when I stepped on ants to a smug looking bad boy. Where had my childhood best friend gone? I didn't know how Noah would act at school,but I wasn't sure I wanted to know.
