Emilia's POV:
I am in a deep sleep when I hear my name being called by a gentle, masculine voice. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but soon after the talking I am being shaken by a muscular arm. My eyes fly open and are met by his green ones, "Babe, I've been trying to wake you up for the past 20 minutes, come on we're going to be late for our first day of Junior year," Noah says. I am so lucky that my boyfriend is also my best friend, he knows me better than anyone else, so naturally he knows not to wake me up without coffee.
Sitting on my bedside table is my favorite mug filled with black coffee, my favorite. My mug has these words; if it requires pants or a bra it's not happening today. I wish I could stay home and follow my mug's rule. Noah sits down beside me and watches as I sip the bitter liquid before placing a kiss on my cheek, "Hurry up babe, before we're late," he says and then heads downstairs to make us breakfast. My mom is already at work and so is Ashley, but my dad moved out a couple of months ago, the only time I've heard from him was to tell me he moved to Texas, so I don't think he'll be a big part of my life anymore. It makes me sad to think about it, but there's really nothing I can do.
I quickly pull on my favorite burgundy crop top, high-waisted black skirt with some black tights, and black ankle booties to match. I take my hair out of the french braid I put it in last night so it's already curly and I run my fingers through my hair a couple of times. I slap on some makeup, brush my teeth, and Noah and I are headed out the door in 10 minutes. We had to eat toast for breakfast, but normally Noah makes me waffles or something if we aren't running late. As we pull into Kingsview High's parking lot, we notice that everyone is looking at us. Noah already warned me that it would be a shock. After all I am a goody-two shoes and Noah is the ultimate player/ bad boy.
We walk to my locker with our hands intertwined, nothing in the world could destroy my happiness right now. Noah and I are actually early for school so he decides to introduce me to his friends that he made during the last week of school. They are all leaning against a row of lockers, and might I say, I know why all of the girls at our school fall for them. In total there are three guys standing in front of me, one with brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. I am told his name is Sam, he's the younger of the three boys, being a Sophomore this year. He has a white v-neck and a grey hoodie on with skinny jeans and some white vans. What is it with players and their white t-shirts?
The next guy I meet is Jace, who is the shorter of the three boys, with blonde hair and icy blue eyes. He doesn't say much to me, while the others all greet me with open arms. Jace wears a long sleeved navy blue shirt with some loose jeans and some converse. He looks at me like I am gum he scrapes off of his shoes. Last but not least is Alec, who has black hair and blueish grey eyes. He also has glasses which instead of making him less attractive, actually make him hotter. He is the friendliest out of the three and gives me a hug. Noah looks like he wants to kill him, but Alec assures him he doesn't like me like that, which I don't take too offensively.
We all say our goodbyes, nice to meet you's, and see you soon's before heading off in different directions as the warning bell rings, signaling that we need to get to class. I hug and kiss Noah goodbye and tell him that we'll meet up at lunch, since that's the only period I have with him. I can't stop thinking about how all of his friends were such assholes, except for Alec that is, but it's probably because they don't know me that well. I spot Amy at her locker and follow her into our History class that takes place at this god forsaken hour.
When I get there Amy and I take a seat and I hear someone else sit next to me, and when I look over I see Alec, whom I've only met this morning sitting there. "Hey is it okay if I sit here?" he asks. I agree, but I look around and see there are multiple seats surrounding us, so I am a little confused. The teacher gives us our homework and Amy, Alec, and I get to work. "Hey Emilia, so are you and Noah dating?" Alec asks me. "Yeah, why?" I ask. "The only reason I ask is because although I've only known Noah for 4 months now and you've known him your whole life, I just think he's using you like he does to every girl," he says. I sit there, waiting for him to continue with his horrible speech. "He told us all about what he did while he was in Montana, and I know how us boys are, we sleep with you girls, keep you around for awhile, and then toss you aside," he says. "Jace does it, Sam does it, I do it, and Noah does it too, so I don't know why you bother with thinking you're in a relationship, because the same cycle is going to repeat, and you'll be thrown out like all the other trash," he finishes.
I am so shocked, and from what I can see Amy is shocked too. "Listen here asshole, you may think you know Noah, but you don't know him the way I do. He is the sweetest person you will ever meet, and sure I know all about what he did in Montana, but he's here in Oregon with me now and that's what matters. Not what happened two years ago, or even five months ago, but what matters is what has happened the past three months we've been together, and no one can try to ruin what we have for me, not even a piece of sh*t like you, Alec," I finish.
"Well you think you know him so well? Ask him about the party you got drunk at, the one where he took you home, then you'll know what stand up guys we all really are," he snarls.
What is Alec talking about? I clearly remember Noah staying with me the entire night.. unless I was so drunk I don't remember what happened. But then that would make Noah a total hypocrite about when Matt and I kissed. I don't know what to believe anymore, I mean I don't even know Alec that well, I met him this morning. I don't know what's going on, but I sure as hell am finding out the whole story at lunch..
That's it for this chapter of The Boy Next Door! I hope you liked it and please give me feedback by commenting on the chapter. Until next time...
