Chapter 5: Acceptance

Me and Lucy were in the car. How do I explain that Lucy's parents are trans and homophobes and Lucy is trans and bi. How do I explain that Lucy may need to stay over all the time because she's thinking of coming out but she knows she will get kicked out.

"Care to explain. I'm not mad I'm just curious." Rose said

"Okay...this is Lucy. She's a trans woman and a bisexual woman. She's very sweet and kind and loving. Unfortunately her parents and trans and homophobes. Now Lucy is going to come out soon but she knows she will get kicked out. So we were talking in the store and now we're friends. I was wondering if Lucy can stay over and we can take care if her. She has money too so-" then I got cut off by Rose.

"Of course we can. It angers me that some parents don't accept their children for who they are. As long as she can help with just a little bit around the house she can stay here for as long as she wishes."

"Oh.my.god. Rose you're the best!" I said

Lucy was crying.

"OH MY GOD LUCY WHAT'S WRONG!?"

"You guys are so accepting. I'm so glad I ran into you."

Lucy then hugged me as tight as possible. I hugged her back.

"If other's don't accept you... we will" I said.

Lucy then pulled out her phone.

"Hey Lucy we're home." I said

"Oh okay!" Lucy put her phone away.

I unlocked the door to Vex's/my house with my nyan cat key.

Vex saw me and ran up to me and tackled me with a hug.

"ARE YOU OKAY! HOW DID THE FIGHT GO? DO YOU HAVE ANY BRUISES OR SCARS! ARE YOU IN TROUBLE WITH MY MOM!?" Vex screamed.

"Vex-" I said then got cut off.

"NO NO DON'T VEX ME I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU'RE OKAY!!" Vex yelled

"Vex. I'm okay. Luckily im stronger so she was the only one with bruises and scars." I said.

She got up.

"Well good. Besides I wasn't even that worried." Vex said.

From behind me I heard Lucy giggle. Apparently so did Vex.

"Who are you?!" Vex said.

"My name's Lucy. Wonderful to meet you. I'm assuming your name is Vex based on what Rain said?" Lucy said.

"Yes I am. Rain. Explain"

"It's a long story. I'll explain after dinner okay?" I said

"Hmm okay"

"Besides I think you're gonna love Lucy."

"I'm trusting you..."

"Vexxx I'll carry you~"

"YOU'LL CARRY ME!?"

"Yes I'll carry you"

I sat on the floor and bent over. Then Vex got on my back.

"Wow you guys are really close!" Lucy said.

Me and Vex looked at each other.

"Well yeah. I guess we are." I said.

Me and Lucy were talking while I was carrying Vex. It was about twenty minutes of talking before her parents said food was ready.

"Guys spaghetti is ready!" Vex's dad said.

I started walking towards the kitchen.

"Rain?" Vex whispers in my ear.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have to put me down for dinner time?"

"Yes I do."

"Nooooooooooo why"

"Cause we have to eat Vex-"

"But-"

"No buts. Get down and I'll carry you after dinner."

"No fair!"

"Vex."

"Fineeeee"

Then Vex got down sadly.

Dinner was a fun time. Lucy was just there giggling, Vex was saying jokes, Vex's mom was replying to them and saying they were back and cheesy. Vex's dad said both of them couldn't make better jokes than him. Me and Lucy were just laughing the whole time. It was the best dinner I had ever had.

"Im full. Thank you so much." Lucy said.

"It's nothing! Gosh stop being so sweet" Rose said.

After dinner Vex looked me straight in the eye like I did something.

"What did I do?"

"Piggy back ride."

"Alright alright"

Vex excitedly jumped on my back. This girl was clingy.

Lucy came up to me and nodded twice. Some how I knew exactly what she wanted.

"Vex. I have two things. Number one is... I know you're bi. I wanted to show I fully support you so..."

I take Vex off my back and grab her present.

"I dunno I tried my best-"

"AHHHH I LOVE HIM IM NAMING HIM LARRY!!!" Vex screamed looking at the dinosaur plush.

Me and Lucy looked over to each other and laughed.

"So the second thing is... let me explain Lucy to you."

After explaining everything about Lucy, like her parents and her identity Vex almost started crying. She ran to Lucy and gave her a hug.

"You are accepted here no matter what" Vex said.

Lucy hugged back.

"Thank you so much. I can't thank this household more for accepting me for when my own won't." Lucy said tearing up.

Then Vex and Lucy looked at each other and nodded.

"What's going-" I said

Then Lucy and Vex pulled me into the hug. I was confused but it was nice. We had a long hug.

"Y'know what guys. I wanna get my mind off this." Vex said

"Oh okay. What do you wanna do?" Lucy said

I just kinda looked at them both.

"How about truth or dare." Vex said
