"Hello everyone! I'm the Lorax! I speak for the trees! You might know this story before, but there's more than what's written! And maybe you will under-" the Lorax was about to say but a little girl with blonde hair and pink clothes pushed him."Sorry Grandpa! But I want to tell this story! I'm a big girl now! >:3" she said and then the Lorax, rubbing his head walk to her.
"We are all in this Lily! What did your mom always tell you?" he said raising an eyebrow.
"....Share" Lily said looking away.
"How about we tell the story together?" The Lorax and Lily's face changed to a happy face and nod.
"Anyway, now that everyone is here, relax and enjoy as we set the stage" he said and Lily giggled.
Narrator's POV
Thneedville is a plastic little town, and everyone was ok with it. No nature but plastic trees that provides them fresh air and again, people liked it. In the town, a boy stroll through the town on his electric bike, to see his crush and best friend Audrey. He a a plan to see her, he bought a plane with remote control. He flew it and make sure it fell in Audrey's backyard. He knocked on the door with a bright a smile, then, the knob slowly turned and the door opened, revealing the young girl, her bright red hair shone in the sunlight that was beaming upon them, making the young boy blush.
"Oh Hi Ted" Audrey said with a smile, making Ted wake up from daydreaming.
"Audrey! Hi" Ted said making his voice sound lower to sound mature.
"Did your ball land on my backyard again?" she said chuckling a little.
"What? No. It was a model airplane this time" he said, making the red hair girl laugh a little.
"Hey, you want to see something cool? Come on" Audrey said letting Ted in.
She took him to her backyard and cover his eyes.
"Ready? Look" she said uncovering his eyes and the young boy gasped amazed as he saw the big colorful painting.
"Did you...Did you paint this?" Ted said still amazed.
"Do you like it?" Audrey asked him.
"Are you kidding? This is amazing!...And what are those?" he asked her and she grabbed his hands.
"Those are trees! Real ones! They used to grow all around here and people said that the touch of their tufts was softer than anything, even silk! And they smelled like butterfly milk" Audrey said excited.
"Wow! What does that even mean?" Ted said impressed but turned around and looked at something else in the painting, a happy cute wolf.
"Is that... a wolf" he asked.
"Oh yes! I almost forgot. People used to say that the wolves were the ones who looked for the forest and protect it. They said they were fearful, but they were the funniest creatures including all the creatures that they used to live in there. Just imagine...they only wanted to protect their home" Audrey said and lay down and Ted lay down too beside her.
"But what I want more than anything in the whole world is to see a real living tree, growing in my backyard" she said and looked back at her painting.
"So..if, say.. I'm just thinking out loud here, if a guy somehow got you one" Ted talked
"I'd probably marry him on the spot. I know it sounds crazy. Does it sounds crazy?" Audrey said.
"No! Not crazy, not crazy at all" he said and the two friends just stayed there, looking at the painting.
Back in Ted's house, where he, his mom and grandmother were eating dinner, he was still thinking of the painting, on how he can get a real tree for Audrey.
"Ted, honey, don't play with your food....you either Mom" Ted's Mom said while Granny Norma was playing with her food like basketball.
"So...Mom, do you happen to know if there's any place where I could get a real...tree?" Ted said and his mom and grandma looked at him.
"Ted, we already have a tree, it's the latest model" his mom said.
"Yeah, but I mean a real one that grows out of the ground or whatever, or you know, a real tree!" Ted said.
"Really? You would rather have some dirty, messy, lump of wood that just sticks out of the ground? And it does what? I don't even know know what it does, what's its purpose? Look at what we've got! It's the Oak-amatic, the only tree with its own remote!" Ted's mom said showing him all the variations of stations the tree has.
"So, anyway..Let's just say a need a tree. Where do I go? What do I do?" Ted tried to find another answer.
"Then you know what? You need to try and find the lost forest!" Granny Norma said and keep cutting her food.
"The lost what?" Ted asked her.
"Mom, it's not really the time for one of your magical fables, okay?" his mom said and his grandma laughed.
"That's right! I forgot! I'm old and can't even remember to put my teeth in" Granny Norma said.
"Stand down. That's not what I meant" Ted's mom said.
"No really, I forgot my teeth. Would you be a dear and go get them for me?" Granny Norma said to Ted's mom and she sighed.
"Yes Mom" she said and stand up and go upstairs. At that, Granny Norma took her teeth out and put it on.
"Ok here's the thing. A long time ago, there was a big forest near the town, in fact, when I was just a young woman, I got here when a big crime happened....when a friend of mine died" Granny Norma said.
Flashback: 60 years ago. (The Narrator in this part is Granny Norma)
I was just a young woman, who wanted to see a friend I've met while we were in high school, named the Onceler. I heard he became successful with the invention he always told me about, I think it was called a thneed. But when I got there, the fabric was full of policemen and detectives.
"What happened here?!" I asked to one of the policeman.
"Young lady I can't let you in, but if you haven't heard. The mayor Onceler and his family was just murdered, we are still trying to figure out who did it, but we think they were wolves who caused this" the policeman said and I gasped terrified. I walked away and I cried a little, but being so sad made me not realize that I was about to tripped and get my knee hurt. I tried to stop the bleeding but then I heard steps, someone was there. It appeared to be a tall woman with some wolves behind her, looking at curious.
"W-who are you?! Don't hurt me," I said but the girl just kneeled down and looked at my bleeding knee. She started to howl and the wolves followed her and I saw how she healed my knee with magic.
"How, when, what......thank you" I said and then the girl pointed at the town, maybe she didn't want me to be in the forest, so I just runaway and the next day...where the forest was, there was a big rock wall. But from that, I knew that no one could make that in a short time, but maybe that girl and her magic.
End of flashback ( You can continue original narrator)
" So what I mean Ted, is that you have to go outside the town and try to find that rock wall and find someone like that woman to let you in and find what's inside it" Granny Norma said
"Well.... I will do it!" Ted said and run to his room and Granny Norma chuckled.
