Chapter 4: The Lorax and the town

Narrator's POV

"Stop calling me townie!" Ted said to Lily.

"Alright Ted, now time to go" Lily said and took his hand and Audrey's hand, she heard something, something that it was coming and the wolves started sniffing the air.

"Do you hear that? I think I know who is. Wait here until I come back, if someone asks you if you saw me, say no" Lily said and she started running away.

"Who would be here?" Audrey said confused.

The two friends just sit and watched some fishes just swimming in the lake.

"Hi >:c" someone said behind Ted and Audrey.

"Hi" they said turning around for a moment until they noticed it was an orange furry guy, actually, The Lorax. They yelled and back off.

"How did you get here?" he said still glaring at them.

"Uuh...we got here.....thanks to one of the wolves!" Ted said pointing at a wolf who was just rubbing himself with the grass. The Lorax looked at their wrists, were their sleeves were ripped, his eyes widened and gasped.

"You two saw a girl in this forest right?" he said.

"Uuuuh....yes :/" Ted said.

"I TOLD YOU TO NOT MENTION ME! >:c" Lily said getting out of a shrub and the Lorax looked at her, she realized what she did and go back inside the shrub. He went to that shrub and got her out.

"You young lady is in big trouble" he said.

"Wait! Grandpa, I already fix it! They got tangled and I just wanted to help" Lily said.

"Grandpa?!" Ted and Audrey said shocked but suddenly the wolves jumped on them, making also Lily and the Lorax fall too. When the wolves noticed them they moved away.

"Hey! I told you, you have to wait until I'm asleep to play, mommy said that too. Now wait there like good wolves" Lily said sitting on Audrey, pointing at a spot and the wolves sadly walked there.

"*rubbing her head* Are that your Mom and Dad back in the cave?" Audrey asked Lily.

"Of course! I don't look like my mom that much?" Lily said smiling.

"Also are the other wolves...people too?" Ted asked her.

"What? No! Goodness! You silly *mess with his head* How big you think my family is?" she said laughing.

"Wait a minute, Lily you took them to the cave?!" Lorax said.

"I needed to be human to heal them of course!" Lily said.

"Uh sorry for interrupting but who is this?" Audrey said pointing at the Lorax.

"I'm the Lorax, guardian of the forest, I speak for the trees and I'm the grandfather of this naughty girl" Lorax said glaring at Lily and she just smiled innocently.

"Oh..Anyway, it's getting late, listen we need to get back to the town" Ted said helping Audrey to get up .

"Great, I'm thrilled to get rid of you. See grandpa, they will go and never come back" Lily said proudly and the Lorax face palm.

Lily took the two friends' hands and take them outside the magic wall dividing the forest with the contaminated part of it.

"Stop" Lily said getting in front of Ted and Audrey.

"What now?" Ted asked her and she climbed on him to get on his shoulders and put his glasses on and the jump to Audrey, taking her cape, making it a lazo and cover her eyes with it.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Audrey asked her taking the lazo off but Lily stopped her.

"I don't want you to come back here, this place is secret remember?" Lily said.

"But we already found it" Ted said.

"Oh just shut up and walk! I will point you back to your little town" she said.

"No, I need my electric bike first" Ted said.

"I can take it, in fact, you can't see" Lily said and Ted fold his hand.

"Well I....Never mind" he said, he didn't want her to know that he can actually still see.

"Well then, now walk" Lily said and pushed them.

As the two teens and the little girl walked back to the town, they got near to the were they got out of the city.

"Well townies, this is the far I can get you" Lily said, the two friends uncover their eyes and Audrey give Lily her cape back and she put it on.

"Well, thank you for taking us back" Audrey said smiling at her.

"You are welcome. I know I shouldn't let you come back but if you still love trees...then maybe I can let you in" Lily said.

"Well then, goodbye Lily" Ted said and with Audrey got inside the door while Lily stood there for a moment, then she got an idea and go back to the forest.
