It had been a couple months since Atreus set off on his journey. Ragnarok had passed and growing peace had begun to spread throughout the Nine Realms. Climates and weather had become much less intense as they were during the three years of Fimbulwinter.
So far, Atreus's journey had been somewhat unsuccesful. He hadn't been able to make much progress in his search for the Giants. After travelling to each of the Jonar Shrines, he was able to get more information about the Giants, but no clues about where they could have gone.
He had tried to travel to Jotenheim multiple times, each attempt resulting in the way he hadn't hoped. Reasonably frustrated and exhausted, Atreus decided to return home for a short while to see his family.
He emerged from the Mystic Gateway that was in the front yard of his home. As Fimbulwinter had passed, much of the existing snow covering the land had begun melting away. It finally felt normal again, much warmer too.
Atreus approached the door and knocked. No answer. He pushed the door open and took a step inside.
"Hello?" He closed the door behind him and stood by it. "Father? Mimir? Freya?"
Atreus sighed. They must be out exploring, He said to himself. He was hoping they'd be there. He knew that he said he wanted to do this journey alone, but the loneliness was killing him. He turned around to leave.
While opening the door and heard a soft "thump", followed by a subtle "ow". He paused, the door halfway open. The sound of footsteps grew quieter and Atreus exited the cabin. He looked around, wondering if he was imagining it.
He noticed a girl his age, standing around the center of the front yard. She looked at him. She had (H/L) (H/C) hair with (E/C) eyes.
"Hi." she said simply. Atreus was confused.
"Hi...?" he replied. "Did I hit you with the door earlier?"
"Yeah, don't worry about it though, it didn't hurt."
"But you said 'ow'."
"It's just a reflex."
"Oh." Atreus was getting really confused.
After a couple of seconds of eerie silence, the girl walked over to him. Atreus was caught off guard by how close she got. She looked up, directly at his face.
"Atreus, do you remember me?"
