(Seating arrangement if you're confused)
During this meal, Lunda joined the others at the table. She sat next to Kratos, across from Freya. Mimir resided on the corner of the table between Kratos and Atreus.
Atreus and (Y/N) sat at the table, plates readied in front of them.
Kratos had already placed each person's portion of the hare on their plates, alongside an additional piece of bread that (Y/N) assumed he had found somewhere in the treehouse.
Freya and Lunda had begun eating already. Kratos sat and stared distantly as he waited for (Y/N) and Atreus to take their first bites.
As they began eating, (Y/N) could sense a blandness to the hare. It seemed like Kratos had simply gutted and grilled the animal.
As for the bread, it was somewhat stale. But it was better than nothing. Although Freya's soup she had made before was much more preferable.
Atreus nodded to Kratos in thanks as he chewed. Kratos looked at his son before he began eating his meal.
The table was silent, but not awkward. It was pretty much expected at this point. (Y/N) glanced up at the others. She noticed Lunda, who had an expression that seemed itching to have a conversation. The dwarf gave into the temptation.
"Y'all are a talkative bunch!" Lunda said sarcastically, using humor to break the ice. She looked around at everyone's reaction.
"Why thank you Lunda." Mimir responded, mirroring her tone.
Kratos grunted tiredly while Freya looked around with her eyes before looking back down at her plate. (Y/N) and Atreus exchanged a quick glance before looking at Lunda.
"C'mon! You gotta have somethin' to talk about!" she exclaimed. She nodded to Kratos. "Your son is back y'know. Give him some 'dad' talk!"
Kratos looked over at the dwarf before huffing and looking at Atreus slowly, seriously. "Do..." the god began. "Do you wash your clothes?"
(Y/N) choked slightly on her bread. She'd never expected such a stoic figure such as Kratos to ask about laundry of all things. She noticed Freya smile slightly before hiding her mouth with a forkful of hare.
"Wash my clothes?" Atreus replied, a hint of tease in his voice. "Yeah, I do." He laughed lightly.
"Hm." Kratos merely said. He had already finished eating his food. His hands were set on the table as he thought quietly of more to say. "What is your favorite meal?"
Atreus looked at him with his mouth slightly opened. He had a funny smile on his face, he wasn't used to seeing such a strange side of his father.
(Y/N) noticed Lunda looking proud of what she had started. Freya was watching intently as she ate. (Y/N) was struggling to maintain a somewhat straight face.
