The next morning, Atreus woke first. As he sat up, he glanced over at (Y/N). She was laying on her side, facing the wall. Atreus could hear her rythmatic breaths as she slept.
Atreus got up from his bed and carefully made his way to the door, not wanting to wake (Y/N) up. She wouldn't say it, but she was quite exhausted from the battle in Alfheim; Atreus wanted her to get as much rest as she could.
He looked around the main area of the house to see if anyone else was awake. Freya's vine barrier was still up, closing the study off to anyone outside of it. Lunda was up as always, working at her station on (Y/N)'s sword improvements.
Atreus saw Kratos's door to his room, it was slightly opened. Curious, he looked into the door, pushing the door open a bit more. Kratos was sitting on the edge of his bed, he seemed to have been talking to Mimir. The head was placed on a barrel across the room from where Kratos sat.
Kratos looked over at Atreus who was standing by the door. "Atreus." Kratos greeted.
"Good morning laddie." Mimir added as Atreus walked over. He sat next to his father on the bed.
"Hi." he replied with a slight yawn.
"What will you do today?" Kratos asked calmly. "Freya and I have not decided."
"(Y/N) and I are going to visit Angrboda." Atreus replied happily. "I want to see my friends before I leave."
Kratos and Mimir exchanged a skeptical look. "Are you sure that's the best idea little brother?" Mimir questioned.
Atreus tilted his head slightly. "What do you mean?"
"We thought that you and Angrboda were... together." Kratos explained awkwardly.
Atreus smiled sheepishly. "I wouldn't say we were together. But, we were close to that?" His voice was becoming higher.
"You aren't worried that Angrboda and (Y/N) meeting could be problematic?" Mimir responded.
Atreus thought for a second. "I worry a little. But Angrboda will understand, I think." He was getting a feeling of uncertainty now.
"I guess we'll wish you luck!" Mimir said, trying to ease Atreus's discomfort. Kratos grunted in support. Atreus nodded slightly before standing up.
"I'll get going." he told them as he left the room. As he stepped into the main area, (Y/N) was leaving their room as well.
"Hey." she said with a smile as he looked over at her.
"Hey." Atreus repeated as they met near the middle of the room. "Did you get to eat your apple?"
He was obviously teasing. (Y/N) pouted at him as she pulled out an apple. He was looking at her with a smug look on his face. "Shut up." she said sourly as she took a bite.
"I didn't say anything." Atreus replied, holding his hands up defensively as they turned to leave. (Y/N) gave him a playfully angry look as she stopped by Lunda to pick up her sword.
"Here you are! All cleaned up and improved!" Lunda exclaimed, holding the sword out to (Y/N). "It'll make those monsters even more dead!"
"Thanks Lunda." (Y/N) thanked her as she took the sword and put it in its sheath of her belt. She walked alongside Atreus as they left the house and towards the Mystic Gateway. (Y/N) watched Atreus while eating her apple.
Atreus pulled out the Jotenheim seed and held it up to the World Tree engraving on the door. There was a faint pulse in the air as the symbol for Jotenheim lit up with the same yellow hue of the seed.
Atreus put the seed back in his bag as the door opened. "After you." He bowed slightly as he stepped to the side.
"Why thank you kind sir." (Y/N) said with a light chuckle as she walked through the gateway. They emerged in front of a tall thick tree. There were fenced off areas with animals in them.
