As the doors opened, Kratos's distinct form was visible as he made his way into the house. A freshly killed deer hung over his shoulder. He glanced over at the others as they watched him carry the deer over to the kitchen. laying on a counter.

"Father, I-" Atreus was cut off as Kratos raised his hand up.

"I know." he grunted. Kratos walked over to the table and stood by the corner between where (Y/N) and Atreus sat. "You do not need to explain. I understand what is happening between you and (Y/N), and I never have, nor will, disapprove of it." He put a hand on Atreus's shoulder. "I am sorry for not allowing you to see (Y/N) when you were younger. I cared only for your safety."

Atreus was a bit surprised, he wasn't expecting his father to be so accepting and apologetic. "Really?" he asked, his eyes bright as he looked over at (Y/N). "I'm glad. Thanks Father."

Kratos grunted and nodded, removing his hand from Atreus's shoulder. "So am I." There were relieved looks on (Y/N) and Freya's faces, while Atreus was still a bit confused, yet grateful.

For a while there was silence, until Mimir peeped up. "Brother, if I may." he began, regarding Kratos.

"Yes?"

"Could we go to Alfheim?" Mimir requested. "I'd like to see how the Elves are doing, now that they have a truce in order."

"And, to see the light again." Freya added, a bit of tease in her tone.

Mimir huffed. "Yes, that too."

"I wish to stay." Kratos argued. "If you wish to go, go without me."

"How will we bring Mimir?" Atreus wondered.

"I... want Mimir to stay." Kratos said hesitantly. "I have much I would like to talk about."

Mimir sighed. "Alright Brother. I can see Alfheim another time."

"Very well," Freya began, turning towards the doors. "The three of us will go."

"But," (Y/N) spoke up, looking at Atreus. "I thought we were supposed to be getting ready for your journey today." she reminded him.

Atreus grinned. "Don't worry (Y/N)," he responded. "I don't mind waiting a bit longer. Besides, I do wanna see how this truce is doing."

"It's not everyday you get to see a new realm." Freya spoke surely. "It'll be good for you."

(Y/N) looked at them skeptically, then back to Atreus. "Are you sure? I don't want to delay your mission."

Atreus nodded. "Yeah. I'm sure. C'mon!" he said cheerfully.

(Y/N) smiled slightly before standing up. "Alright." she said softly.

They waved to Kratos and Mimir and made their way to the doors. Lunda smirked at (Y/N) as she passed by the workshop. (Y/N) narrowed her eyes at Lunda, in a friendly manner.

They got to the gateway and Atreus activated it. After a quick stroll in the Realm between Realms, they emerged on a small plateau. The sky above was a bit unnatural, the colors of it clashed, half was a dark maroon red with faint traces of black, while the other half was a normal blue (Y/N) would see in Midgard. The two halves melted together above a tall pillar of white light.

(Y/N) pointed at the pillar, looking at Atreus. "Is that, the 'light'?"

"Yeah. The Light of Alfheim." he said grandly. "It doesn't look like much from here, but up close, there's something about it that's just... special."

The biome around them was a mix of sandy, orange-red rocks and lush greenery, with a variety of small, colorful flowers. The air wasn't much different from Midgard. The group began making their way towards the light, following a path leading down the plateau.
