"So, I was thinking, we should have a barbecue! Invite everyone, we could even invite Vic! Nolan could bring Grace, Angela would bring Wes, Bishop could bring her mystery guy, and Jackson could bring Sterling!"
Lucy smiled, a mouthful of fries in her mouth.
"Forget it, I don't do barbecues." Tim sighed, exaggerating.
"Oh come on, you guys could watch whatever game is on, and I would get the girls to tell every single secret about you." Lucy lifted her eyebrows, reaching for her water bottle.
The two were sat at a small table, near their shop.
"If you can convince Bishop to do it, I'm in." Tim smirked, reaching for his wallet.
"I can pay for my own food, Tim." Lucy rolled her eyes, looking up at him as they stood. He sent the bills on the table, placing the napkin holder above it.
Tim ignored her, and she followed behind him as he walked toward the shop. She made her way to the passenger seat, rolling down her window.
Her phone began buzzing in her pocket, and she immediately became upset as her phone dinged with a message from her mother.
"Don't bother coming over tonight, your father has a work thing and I've got my club."
Tim gave a worried expression, softening his hand on the steering wheel. A call came in through the radar, interrupting what Tim was going say.
The call was quick, it only taking them twenty minutes to resolve the act of a young guy robbing a woman's purse.
"If I'd know that all it took was for me to graduate as a rookie, I wouldn't have talked back to you." Lucy opened her door, entering the precinct.
"I'm not a bad guy," Tim chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. The two separated as they made their way to the locker rooms, Lucy bumping into Talia as she scurried out.
"Hey!" She reached for her arm, wrapping her hands before letting go. Talia gave a small smile, turning on her feet to face Chen.
"Tim says I can throw a barbecue, and that he'll only go if you go. Could please come? Everyone would be there, you wouldn't have to bring anything." Lucy pleaded, hands under her chin as she bent her knees slightly.
"Yeah, sure." Talia nodded, turning again to walk out.
Lucy cheered, making way to her locker.
Tim and Lucy spoke in the parking lot, a few quick words. Lucy had been in her car, ready to drive off when she met eyes with Tim. She rolled down her window, and he walked over, leaning his key toward her.
Her eyes were large, Tim noticed, and she looked up at him as if he had just told her she won the lottery.
"Talia said yes, so now you have to go." Lucy cocked, hands on her wheels as she slid them down.
Tim rolled his eyes, but agreed. They told each other goodnight, waving off as they each drove home.
The night ended calmly, with Jackson's help as they cleaned up the messy apartment from the previous night. Once finished, the two curled up on the couch, grabbing a large blanket and whatever beers were left in the fridge. Jackson wrapped his arm around Lucy, it landing on her side, as she laid with a pillow at Jackson's shoulder.

"Morning!" Nolan smiled, tucking his hands into his pockets.
Jackson and Chen greeted him, all three walking into the building together.
"You guys are all square for going to Tim's this weekend, right?" Lucy curved her eyebrows, looking back between the two men on each of her shoulders.
The two agreed for the 100th time, chuckling as they walked into their locker room. Lucy walked to hers,
greeting Angela.
