and when i woke up i smiled. it was an unfamiliar gesture on my face. i smiled at the fluttering scrap of paper. the paper that held a message.
the little messages that carried me from day to day.
a simple message from jay. a few words.
i'll give you a reason to float.
coffee shop. tomorrow. noon.
the words seem to be smiling at me. and for the first time, i didn't dread the tomorrow. in fact, i was looking forward to it.
and i floated for one more day.
