You were on another mission with Hunter. You both have been gone from the castle for days. While Hunter was still warming up to you he also couldn't himself to snarky comments here and there. You were at the knee, it was cold, and you were both tired and hungry. You and the Golden Guard found shelter in a cave. While you went through the things you packed in your bag, Hunter made a fire for the night. You took out a sandwich and drooled at the sight of it. It was your first meal in two days. Hunter sat down on a log and looked at the sandwich, he couldn't keep his eyes off it. You were gonna take a bit before you noticed his look.

"Hey, where is your food, Goldie?" You asked.

He grumbled, "I forgot it when I was getting ready for the mission. I'm not even hungry."

Hunter's stomach then loudly grumbled causing him to flush in embarrassment and wrap his arms around it.

"You need to eat something." You stated holding your sandwich out for him to take.

Hunter glared at you, "You need to mind your own business." He then turned away from you and crossed his arms.

You gave him a disappointed look but inside you were cackling, he reminded you of a meme, "You were stumbling around today, don't think I didn't notice that. I can literally hear how hungry you are. So take the stupid sandwich."

Hunter looked back at you narrowing his eyes at you. He hesitated before taking the sandwich mumbling a 'thank you.'

He then looked at you before taking a bite, "What about you?"

You waved him off, "I'm fine I brought more."

That was a lie. You also forgot to pack so all that was left was a very small energy bar. He nodded at you before taking a bite. His eyes widened at it and soon devoured it.

You smiled at this, your stomach softly grumbled not loud enough for Hunter to hear and you looked to the energy bar.

'This will have to do.'

As the night got colder you wrapped your arms around you for warmth. Hunter who packed the essentials other than food, gave a frustrated sigh before throwing his blanket at you. You fell back from your seat surprised, you took the blanket off you and looked at him confused. Hunter didn't look at you just kept poking the fire with a stick. You got up and sat next to him you then wrapped the blanket around him. Hunter looked at you a little confused and shocked. You just stared at the fire, it felt a little awkward being so close to him. Hunter also felt awkward and stiffened.

You woke up with a yawn to find yourself sleeping on a log with a blanket around you. You looked around, Hunter was gone. You looked around and noticed all your stuff was gone along with his. The fire though was still going. You threw the blanket off and panicked.

"Shit. Shit. Sit. Son of a- I knew this would happen sooner or later." You tugged at your hair.

He really left you without any of your survival teams in the snow. He knew he still didn't like you completely but did he really want to kill you?! How would you make it back? What if it storms and you die?!
