Nate-

Lucas was taking way too long.

I decided to go out and about for some fresh air first. I wasn't expecting anyone else anyway.

I won't be surprised if my parents didn't care whether I lived or died.

I was walking aimlessly around when I spotted this old stairwell.

It was dark and there was nothing prominent about it. It just blended in with everything else, going unnoticed.

I decided to go up.

It led to a rooftop garden.

A dead garden filled with weeds and lots of dandelions. No one tended to it, apparently. I shrugged and went in.

I looked to my left and got the shock of my life.

There was a girl in a hospital gown, white-blonde hair playing with the strong gusts of wind. She was holding on to a dandelion flower, protecting it from the wind while wishing on it, before blowing at it. Not that blowing it was necessary anyway.

There were tears rolling out of her beautiful amber eyes.

She. Was. Beautiful.

I usually used terms like, 'hot' or 'sexy' to describe a girl, so if I said 'beautiful', it meant something.

I just stood there, awestruck and dumbfounded. Like a retard. Well, at least the way she was looking at me was suggesting that.

Dandelion-

I didn't bother wiping my tears away as this weird guy randomly appeared in my safe haven. Why do I have to hide it anymore?

He seemed retarded with the way he was staring at me.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I asked sharply. My voice seemed surprisingly steady.

That snapped him out of it.

"I- uh... um... M-My name is Nate. A-And I j-just woke up in th-the hospital." he stuttered. Why was he stuttering? And is that... a blush? Is he blushing? Oh, god.

"Well, nice to meet you, Nate. Now get out of here." I snapped.

His facial expression changed instantly.

He was now smirking.

"Well, this isn't your place, so why can't I be here?" he asked smugly.

Why won't people leave me alone? Why did I always have to face others and hide how scared I really am? What did I have to do to make him leave? I had wanted to scream and lose control just then and there.

"H-Hey... you okay? I'm sorry I shouldn't have said anything." Nate said softly.

I sniffed. I didn't even notice that I was crying even more! How embarrassing!

Stop crying, Dandelion! You're embarrassing yourself, I chastised myself in my own head.

"It's okay. It's not your fault." I said monotonously, wiping my tears away harshly.

I schooled my face into an emotionless expression. It was the easiest to do afterall.

Lucas-

I was running around the hospital, looking for a damned doctor when I came crashing into someone.

We both fell, and I wrapped myself around the petite person's body on instinct.

"Oomph!" We both grunted as we landed onto the ground.

I slowly unwrapped myself from the person.

"L-Lucas?" came a familiar voice.

"Crystal?" I asked, surprised.

She was blushing.

"A-Are you okay?" she stuttered.

I nodded as I felt a blush crawling its way up my face too as I remembered how I wrapped myself around her on instinct.

"Why were you running?" Crystal asked, genuinely curious.

I smiled broadly.

"Nate's awake" I announced.

Crystal's eyes went wide.

"S-Sore throat g-guy?" she asked, nervous.

What did Nate do to her? Crystal was never one to be nervous about anything.

Just as I was about to ask, I heard two familiar voices.

"..-didn't want to go for the surgery." said a male's voice.

"Well, that's understandable. My mother did die of surgery afterall. Poor girl... she must have been traumatized." said a female's voice.

As they rounded the corner, Crystal and I saw who they were.

"M-Mr and Mrs Johnson?" Crystal asked, shocked.

Dandelion's mother smiled softly and nodded.

"I'm back."
