It's been a couple days since the team returned from the Land of Waves, Kakashi made the report to the Hokage and the genin had a couple days off for a breather. After those few days were up the team assembled and had to do the standard D-Rank missions, they were boring as usual, but Naruto wanted to outdo Taiyo and Sasuke in everything. The missions included picking up trash, picking weeds, and walking dogs. Naruto tried his absolute hardest to outdo his rivals in everything, but he failed each and every time.
Kakashi: Well done everyone, I think that's enough for today, see ya (poofs away)
Naruto: (Being carried by Sakura) Damn it, damn it, why can't I do anything?!
Sakura: (Gets angry) Knock it off you idiot! I swear our teamwork has been worse since we came back
Naruto: Yeah our teamwork is worse because of Taiyo and Sasuke, they just keep acting too cool during the missions
Taiyo: (Teasing) What do you mean Naruto, I've been doing the missions just fine, maybe it's you that's affecting the teamwork (holds out fist behind his back)
Sasuke: (Smirks and bumps Taiyo's fist)
Naruto: (Really annoyed) Grrrrr! Stop acting like your so much better than everyone else!
Sasuke: (Turns his back) I'm not better than anyone else, just you! Taiyo is honestly the one I see as a true equal (I really want to fight him to pull out that power he has to test myself)
Taiyo: (Pats Sasuke's shoulder) Thanks best buddy, but Naruto just get stronger than us and then we'll give you a challenge
The two started walking away smirking at each other, this has been a recurring thing for Naruto to challenge the both of them. They know Naruto mocks them to see if they will challenge them, but they both play a game and insult Naruto to get him hyped up to train to fight them because he has proven himself a lot and they wanna fight him to.
(A couple of days later)
After completing many more boring D-Rank missions Naruto had a crazy idea when Kakashi left.
Naruto: (Creepy smile) You wanna see it right?
Sakura: (Hits him) Ahhhhhh!!! Don't do that you idiot!
Taiyo: What are even talking about bro?
Naruto: His face
Sasuke: Whose face you idiot?
Naruto: Kakashi-Sensei's face
Taiyo: I'm also curious about that
Sakura: It would interesting to see how he really looks
Sasuke: (Turns away) I don't really care about this I'm going home
Sakura: Oh Sasuke you're so cool
Naruto: (Smirks) What if he's got buck teeth or big lips?
This got a reaction out of Sasuke as he started moving from side to side because he having internal battle with himself to do this or be cool somewhere else, but he finally agreed to do it. The team went through many antics and fails to see what was under Kakashi's mask, after failing so many times they invited him for lunch at Ichiraku Ramen.
Kakashi: Well this out of the ordinary, treating me to lunch
Teuchi: (Hands out bowl) Here you go thank for you waiting
The genin were trying to act cool and not reveal their plan, but Kakashi kept guessing all their plans; snow falling on him, his ramen exploding in his face, and a joke fist punching him to the fence. Turns out all the those plans were Kakashi being paranoid that were gonna try something.
Kakashi: Well this out of the ordinary, treating me to lunch
Teuchi: (Hands out bowl) Here you go thank for you waiting
Kakashi split his chopsticks and started to pull down his mask, the genin on his side were analyzing his every move with narrowed eyes, but before they could the scarecrow unmask they heard something.
???: Taiyo, I haven't seen you for so long!
Team 7 was ambushed by Team 10 (Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji) at the worst time possible. Ino jumped on Taiyo, Choji squeezed himself between Sasuke and Kakashi, and Shikamaru sat there smiling innocently. Team 7 fought Team 10 to get them off, but it was too late because Kakashi was already finished his food and the Ichiraku duo were awed by his face.
Taiyo: (Shocked) Ok now I really wanna know
Sasuke: (Also shocked) No kidding
(Later that day)
Team 7 sat on bench coming with a plan to find out what's under their Sensei's mask. They all decided that it would be best to go one at a time to find out; Naruto went first and failed, Sakura went second and failed, Sasuke went third and gave up, and Taiyo went fourth and unsurprisingly failed. The team's final plan was to confront Kakashi and ask him directly, it took them a while to find him, but after a few hours of searching they finally found him.
Taiyo: Yo Kakashi-Sensei we have questing for you?
Naruto: Yeah yeah yeah!
Kakashi: Oh a question, well what's up?
Sakura: We wanna know what's under your mask?
Kakashi: Ah, you could've just asked even after all the those many failed attempts
Genin: (Shocked) IT WAS THAT EASY!
Kakashi: Hehehehe (he starts to unmask himself). The thing that's under my mask (he takes his mask to reveal another mask) is another mask (he eye smiles)
The team individually smacked themselves on the face, cursing that they spent a whole day to learn more about Kakashi and they find out nothing. The team eventually separated to go home each very disappointed with themselves.
(The Next Morning)
Taiyo was minding his business as he walked down the street, he then saw Naruto also walking down the same road.
Taiyo: Hey buddy what's up?
Naruto: (Becomes happy) Oh hey man
The two then started to walk with each other reminiscing about their time in the academy, their friendship, and the missions of a ninja. The two boys then caught a sound and turned around to see a rock approaching them, Naruto got annoyed.
Naruto: I know it's you, little twerp
Taiyo: Huh, you know this rock, dude?
The rock then exploded with a ton of smoke surrounding it and revealed three kids; the first kid had spiky, brown hair, googles on his head, and a long blue cape, the second kid had orange hair, a permanent blush on her cheeks, and googles on her head, finally the third kid had short, brown hair, snot coming out his nose, and of course googles on his head.
Blue caped boy: You really are my rival boss
