You were very unimpressed by the way Danny was lurking around the trees as per usual. At least normally he would be hidden. But you could literally see the wispy pieces of cloth floating out from the side of the bark."You're not very stealthy, you know?" You rolled your eyes. He exited from his 'hiding place' with a huff.
"No need to be rude." The man crossed his arms as if he was upset. Had his mask been discarded, there would be a clear pout on his face. You just shook your head and focused more so on what he was doing here.
"What brings you over here? You missing me that much?" You taunted with a smirk.
"Oh, my god. Yas, Queen." Danny replied in a girly voice, only to settle down in an instant. "No. I need to talk about my camera."
Damn, you forgot about that. He had wanted you to find it for him. With all the new arrivals, the thought had slipped from your mind like butter. As you opened your mouth to apologise, you saw a glimmer in his hand. The shutter of the black camera reflected back a tiny bit of light towards you. He had it?
"You found it?" You said in surprise.
"Lying behind a tree near this camp." Danny stated. You were far enough into the forest that you couldn't be seen or heard, but it was still technically the survivor camp.
"The hell... What was it doing there?" It made no sense. Was someone trying to hide it there?
"That's not the problem." Danny shuffled from one foot to the other. There was clearly a deeper issue here. As infuriating as Danny could be, he wouldn't come running over to bother you at camp when you were working back trust from the survivors. "The film is missing."
You just raised an eyebrow at him. Was it an auto print camera or something? Danny seemed to read your mind and nod, motioning to a part of the camera where photos seemed to be dispensed.
"There was a fresh one in there before I lost it. That means whoever took it has taken photos from it. And I think that quite a few have been deleted." Danny stood rigid as he showed no signs of amusement as he would normally.
"What are you trying to say?" You feared were he was going with this.
"I'm saying someone has pictures from my camera. And I doubt they've been photographing nature." Danny shrugged. He had said Nea was part of the trial when he lost it. Of everyone, Nea was the most likely to pull some stunt like that... And Nea was with Jake and his cohorts...
Your mind started to click onto a terrible theory. No... there was no way that...
A literal roar came splaying out of the camp, making your face go pale. This was just a great day for questions. What in the flying blue fuck was that?
"Woah..." Kate said in amazement. It was her, Jack, Eric, Mikaela and Adam sat together. Adam and Mikaela still looked very nervous to even be in Eric's presence after learning he was the killer in the last trial.
At the moment, Jack had his hand out and curved in a claw, palm upwards. His nails had extended out into wolf claws, much to everyone's amazement.
"Watch this." He said with a smirk, shutting his eyes. He took a few deep breaths to focus himself, finding it a lot more difficult to do so in this world. Suddenly his claws lit up a cosmic blue, energy coursing through them as he flexed his hand.
"What is that?" Mikaela was practically drooling as she saw the magical ability. It had her interest at peak. Maybe he could teach her how to do that...
"Oh, neat. I thought I was the first to do that." Eric hummed, opening his palm as black and sharp knife like claws appeared on his fingers. He had a much easier time doing it compared to Jack. Why that was, they didn't know.
