Cheryl's eyes fluttered open in the middle of the night. Her head lifted up off of (Y/N)'s chest as she yawned to herself. The blonde had to blink a few times to figure out where she was, but the sounds of faint snores from other camp dwellers was a big giveaway.

She looked down at the snoozing (Y/N), careful not to touch the patched up wound as she paused to look around. The first thing she saw were the three bodies piled in a row just nearby. After just a glance, she knew who they were.

Claire, Jill and Laurie.

The three had clearly been trying to get closer to (Y/N) during the night. Laurie was a little further forward than other two, seemingly winning a small battle between them as they all breathed slowly in their slumber.

Behind them, Zarina and Mikaela looked content as they laid face up towards the sky. Jack rested just nearby in that canine form of his. Cheryl could see how Mikaela's arm outstretched towards him as if desperate for him to stay with her.

Everyone else seemed to be sleeping rather peacefully and normal. Excluding Eric and Yui who slept with their backs turned to each other at the edge of the camp. All that mattered was that everyone was still napping.

Cheryl returned her eyes back to (Y/N). Her body buckled and she leant downwards, back to the way she had been laying before. Her head floated above his chest, but continued up until she was looking over his face.

The soft locks of H/C hair caught her attention as it flocked over his face. The girl gently brushed the stray pieces aside, leaving her hand on his warm cheek for a moment. She couldn't remember any of the times she had been mad at him for. All she could remember were the good times.

He had saved her from Legion. Not once. Twice. It was him who saved her at the camp when the killer came looking for her. Him. It made her heart's pace speed up like a car going from 0 to 90 miles per hour.

Those soft lips... The same ones that had comforted her so many times as words came from behind them. Cheryl felt her face flush. When she saw him hurt earlier, it had scared her so badly. The thought of him dying was horrible, even in a place of immortality like this.

The girl barely realised she was floating downwards until she felt his breath reaching her neck. Her hairs stood on end as she feared the chance of him waking up. God, she was so weak... floating over her friend and thinking about all this. If anyone saw her right now, she would be mortified.

"Thank you... for keeping me sane." Cheryl almost smiled as the words fell as mere whispers from her mouth. She gently kissed the sleeping man's lips, staying like that for a few seconds before recoiling in embarrassment. She couldn't believe she had actually done it.

She awkwardly settled back down against him, laying across one of his arms and placing her head down again. Maybe next time she awoke, everyone else would be up, too.

2nd Person POV

"Before I even dare to step foot out of this camp, I wanna get one thing straight." You stood in the middle of every survivor. It had been about an hour since everyone started to wake up, so you decided now was a better time than any. You said you'd tell everyone to their face, so that's what you were gonna do.

"I'm not a murderer. The Entity forced me to become a killer when I killed Ghostface to save Claire. The only reason I sacrifice you guys is because I have to." You could tell how unreceptive Jake was in the back as he was purposely ignoring you. He had been pretty tame since you got kicked from camp before. Had someone humbled him?

"Have to? Why don't you just let us escape if you really aren't a bad guy?" Nea rose an eyebrow quizzically. The amount of smug energy that followed her made you happy about that time in the red forest.
