[This chapter will mostly be about Mitchel Cave and his bromances. Enjoy!]
"I swear, I'll behave..." Mitchel whined.
"I don't trust you. You're going to try and kiss him again." Clinton sighed.
"No I..." Mitchel started but stopped. I looked at the expression on his face. He was confused about something.
"Mitchel?" I asked him.
"I uhhh... How long have I been like this? With Jesse..." He asked.
"So you know it's an obsession?" Clinton asked him.
"Yes and no... It's more than what I felt for Robyn..." He mumbled.
"Clinton... Can Mitchel and I talk in private for a sec?" I asked.
Clinton nodded, kissing my cheek and standing up. He hesitated at the doorway until he finally left, closing the door quietly behind him.
"Mitchel... Care to elaborate." I said quietly.
Mitchel sighed. "With you... I thought you were very pretty and had the best lips but with Jesse... His eyes... His hair... His mouth... His body... I want it all. It's weird how I am more attracted to him than I was you... I thought I was straight but these new emotions..."
"Mitchel... It's the obsession. You aren't exactly straight or gay... I think you're more bi..."
Mitchel nodded thinking.
"But I've never liked a boy before."
"It's OK... I can try to help you get through this but you have to promise to cooperate with me."
Mitchel nodded. "Can I just see him please... I won't try to kiss him..."
I sighed. "Yea... Hold on... Let me ask Clinton and Jesse what they think."
I got up and walked out the door. Clinton was standing outside of it with a smirk on his face.
"You really want to let him see him?"
"I think he can handle it." I said quietly.
Clinton shrugged and got out his phone to text Jesse to come upstairs. Within seconds he was here.
"What's up?" He asked quietly.
"Mitchel wants to have you talk him out of this..." I said.
"Sure. Lets get this over with... Just as long as he doesn't kiss me."
"He said he could restrain himself."
Jesse nodded and we entered Mitchel's room, leaving Clinton outside the door.
"Jesse!" Mitchel beamed.
I have never seen him so happy in my entire life. He was glowing.
"Hey bud..." Jesse said quietly. "You doing OK?"
"My heart aches for you, Jesse. I don't know what to do. I've never felt like this for a boy before. I-"
"It's an illusion." Jesse cut him off.
Mitchel was silent.
"It's not real." Jesse continued. "You would've felt this long before. We've had closer encounters my friend. If you truly liked me you would've capitalized on it then."
Mitchel remained quiet. I think maybe he had realized that this was the truth and yet he couldn't fully believe it.
"I don't know what to say..." Mitchel said quietly.
"I know... Just please... Try and get out of this like you did with Robyn."
I looked back and forth between the both of them.
After a moment of thinking Mitchel slowly nodded. "I will try for you. But one thing first..."
"What?"
Mitchel reached his hand toward Jesse. Jesse hesitantly looked at me then Mitchel. He grabbed Mitchel's hand and Mitchel pulled it to his lips and gently kissed it. He let go and closed his eyes.
"That's it. I think I can forget you in peace now."
I furrowed my brows. "Forget?"
"I had a dream last night that you both didn't exist. And neither did that tree. My life was good. I was a YouTube star with my brother and I joined a boy band... I wouldn't say my life was better but it was awfully great."
I looked to Jesse nervously. I wonder if everyone had a similar dream to what I had.
"But this life... Was it as good as this?" Jesse asked.
"Well no... Because I didn't have the both of you in it." He smiled sadly.
*Later*
"Did it work?" Clinton asked quietly as Jesse and I walked out of Mitchel's room.
"I'm not sure... I don't think so..." I pondered.
"Damn..." Clinton sighed and pulled me towards him, grabbing my hands. "Hey... I wanted to talk to you..."
I looked back at Jesse and he looked away.
"Yea sure... What's wrong, Clinton?" I asked.
He tugged my hand and pulled me towards Jesse's room.
"You don't mind right, Jesse?" Clinton shouted back.
"Sure... Whatever man..." Jesse sighed and walked down the stairs.
I watched him almost go completely down the stairs. Right before he went out of sight, he turned to look at Clinton and I. I hadn't noticed I was already in the room until Clinton closed the door and instead of staring at Jesse's disheartened look; I was staring at a wooden door.
"Robyn, about the other day..." Clinton started. "I wanted to tell you a secret."
