Chapter 31: The flight

A month had passed and everyone was already traveling to Portugal for the next race. Aurora was traveling in the Ferrari jet with Carlos and Charles.

-I thought Char was coming too.- Aurora said before taking a book out of her bag.

-She was but got trapped with a family issue in Monaco.- Charles explained

-Are we playing chess?- Carlos asked and Charles nodded before taking out his iPad.

-Want to join us?- Charles asked the girl

-Thanks, but I suck at chess. I'll be reading if you need something.- she said before putting headphones on.

-Hey, actually I forgot to install the chess app.- Charles whispered

-Ror has it. Amor, can you let us use your iPad?- Carlos asked

-Sure, here you go.- 

Three hours later Aurora fell asleep with her book still open and her headphones on.

-Give me a second.- Carlos said before sitting beside her, taking her book, and closing it after putting the bookmark on.

-Take her headphones out too.- the Monegasque said and Carlos did, Aurora moving her head and resting on his shoulder.

-Sorry man- he said to Charles but he smiled before moving to sit in front of the couple.

-She looks happier since you came into her life.- Charles whispered

-I don't know, but I'm definitely happier since she came into mine.-

-How is the house search going?-

-We have two beautiful options, one's a little bit more expensive but Aurora thinks is worth it.-

-You don't? What's wrong with it?-

-It's huge, literally huge. Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a huge pool, it seems like a lot.-

-Aren't you thinking of family?- Charles asked

-We are but, even if we have kids. Our work involves traveling a lot, I don't think these kids are going to be a lot at this house.- he explained

-Carlos, what's really going on?-

-I'm scared about money. Right now with the Ferrari contract is all fine but I don't know where I'll be in two years.-

-You do know, she's like fucking rich, right?-

-What?- he asked confused

-She has a huge inheritance from her grandparents. She never spent a dime out of it because she wanted to keep it for her future with a partner.-

-I can't believe it, that's what she meant.- Carlos laughed and Charles seemed confused.

-I said something about maybe not spending a lot so we can secure college funds for the future kids and she joked that won't be a problem. And for a moment I thought about her not wanting kids so I didn't push it.-

-You do know you're really dumb sometimes.- Charles laughed and Aurora woke up.

-What are you talking about boys?- she asked with a smile

-Good morning Rory.- Charles said with a huge smile

-Are we there yet?- she asked annoyed

-I'm sorry mi niña, we still have a couple of hours to go.-

-Ugh, can we play poker or something?- she asked

-Of course baby.-

-You guys are the best.- she happily said before taking the card deck out.-
