Chapter 4: Avoiding each other

After dinner, Carlos went back to his hotel room, feeling like a complete idiot. He likes Aurora but he's just too scared of letting someone in his life just to lose them after a few months.

The next morning Aurora arrived at the paddock, she felt so ashamed and disappointed in herself. She didn't want to talk to anyone so she walk in the paddock listening to music.

She walk towards the small restaurant the boxes had and after picking up just some coffee and fruit, she walked to her office, not saying hello to anyone.

-Are you planning on coming inside or are you standing there?- Aurora asked annoyed

-I'm sorry, you just seemed so concentrated.-

-It's fine, Sainz. Can I help you with something?-

-Are you gonna treat me like that?- he asked

-What do you mean?-

-This isn't fair, Bianchi.- he said angrily before leaving her office.

An hour later, Aurora needed to meet the guys for the teaser of the project, so she left her office and walk downstairs toward the garage. She was standing right outside the garage, waiting for both drivers, and suddenly someone took one of her AirPods out of her ear.

-What happened with Carlos, last night?-

-What do you mean?- she asked

-You only listen to folklore by Taylor Swift when you are sad, he's acting weird and after he left your office he went to his restroom to cry, I think.- Charles explained

-So tell me, what happened?-

-Did he tell you about last night?-

-Rory, he fell for you in just one day. Try to understand the guy.-

-I tried, I thought there was something special going on, and when I said something about last night being a date he froze and that was it.-

-You wanted last night to be a date?- Charles asked surprised

-Why so surprised?- she asked annoyed

-Because you're ms. no love, what happened to her?-

-I stupidly fell in love with Carlos.- she growled to Charles

-What?- a voice behind them asked

-Carlos.- she whispered but just then photographer arrived

-Are you ready for the teaser?- he asked excitedly and everybody nodded.

An hour later they had all the material they needed, they were done for the day. Aurora said goodbye to Charles while Carlos talked to his cousin. She needed to do some work things in her office and she wanted to avoid Carlos as much as she could.

A few hours later, it was already night, she left her office. Ready to go to her hotel, she walked towards the parking lot, willing to find the car her boss told her she was going to have for a couple of days.

-Nice car.- Carlos said standing right beside her car.

-Thanks.-

-Can we talk?- he asked

-Oh god, Bianchi!- a man screamed

-Antonio! It's so good to see you.-

-Likewise, your brother told me you were working here but I hadn't seen you.- Giovinazzi said

-Well, I was always here just at the races. But this year I'm moving permanently with the grid.- she explained

-That's amazing, I'm so happy you are working for Ferrari.-

-Thanks.- she said

-Do you have something to do tonight? Want to grab dinner with me?- Antonio asked

-Sorry, we already had plans.- Carlos explained.
