Chapter 25: Confession

- Mamma, I don't want to talk about that.-
-Baby, you need to tell someone. And I'm sure you won't tell him.- her mom said
-I found out I was pregnant the day we got here and I wanted to tell him after the race.- she explained with tears in her eyes.
-I didn't know you were trying to have a baby.-
-We weren't that's why I took some time before telling him.- she explained to her mother
-Sweetie, I know this is hard. I lived the same thing you will heal but you won't heal alone. He needs to know and he needs to help you heal.-
-I'm scared this will tear us apart.- she explained
-Aurora, I can see that man loves you more than life itself. Charles told me that Carlos wanted to retire the car from the race, he loves you and he needs to know.-
-But, I don't know how to tell Carlos.-
-Tell me what?- Carlos asked from the door.
-Rory, you need to tell him. I'll leave you two alone.- her mother said before kissing her daughter's forehead and walking out of the room.
-Mi niña, why are you crying.- he asked worried
-I have something to tell you.- she said with a serious face
-Ror, we can work this out, I don't know what I did wrong but I can fix it. Please don't leave me.- he sadly said
-Amore, I wasn't planning on leaving you.-she let a small laugh out
-But, I'm not sure you won't do it after what I have to tell you.-she added
-Ror, please just tell me what's going on.-
-The day we got to Italy I took a pregnancy test. I was scared of the result because we weren't trying, but it came back positive.- she explained
-You are pregnant?- Carlos asked with a smile which disappeared as soon as Aurora shook her head.
-I was. I was planning on telling you after the race. That's why I left, I wanted to buy something to surprise you. But then.- she got interrupted by Carlos.
-That guy hit you and you lost the baby.- he sadly said.
-I'm sorry.- she whispered
-Don't be. I'm not gonna lie, having a baby with you would have been amazing, but we are young and we still have time to do that, and when the time comes, we will always remember that angel who is taking care of us from the sky.- he said hoping Aurora would feel better.
-I'm really sorry.- she said but he shook his head
-I'm glad you are alive, you are here with me and that's what matters.-
-Do you know if my phone survived?-
-I think it did, probably Aldo has it.- he replied and just then someone knocked on the door.
-Can we come in?- Charles asked with a few of the drivers standing behind him.
-Sure!- Aurora happily said
-I told them not to come but they didn't listen.- Carlos explained to his girlfriend
-We wanted to see our best friend.- Lando happily said while holding a bouquet of flowers.
-How are you doing?- Pierre asked after he left a kiss on her forehead.
-I've been better.- she whispered
-Stop looking at me with pity, tell me all about the race.- she smiled at the drivers standing in front of her and they all laughed before starting to tell her all about the race.
