Chapter 35: Four squeezes

- Hey, I saw you walk in with Charles. Everything good between you too?- Carlos asked when his girlfriend approached him at the garage.
- Yeah, we screamed at each other but we are friends again.- she joked
- You were always friends, he just needed space and accidentally took a lot.-
- Are we ok?- she asked suddenly feeling nervous.
- Of course we are, why are you asking that?-
- Um, Charles said he was helping you plan something for me and that you asked him to cancel it. I was just wondering if I did something wrong.-
- I'm going to kill that little frenchman.- Carlos said
- He's Monegasque, not French.- she smiled
- Potatoe, potato, same thing.-
- Carlos? Is everything ok?- she asked again
- Of course it is. I have been planning this date for a couple of months and well he's been helping due to him living here and well I asked him to cancel it because you were still down because of your fight with him.-
- Amore, I'm sorry you needed to cancel because of my bad mood.- she said but he quickly denied.
- I just wanted you to be ok, I don't mind staying in tonight.-
- Can't we still go? I bet it was an amazing surprise.- she excitedly asked
- It definitely was, but I think it's too late now. Why don't you go out today with Charles and Pierre and sunday night we go out to celebrate, just the two of us.-
- But, I wanted to be with you tonight.-
- It's okay sweetie, I'm actually tired and you and Charles need to catch up, and Pierre also deserves to be there.-
- Fine, I'll ask them if they have plans. Now, you need to get in that car and have fun.-
- I love you.- he said before kissing her and stepping in the car. She took his gloves from a close by table and handle them to him giving him four squeezes on his hands.
- I promise.- he replied and she nodded before stepping out of the garage.

- What was that?- Paige asked as soon as Aurora sat down next to her
- What are you talking about?-
- Those four squeezes you gave him.-
- Oh, it's a little code for the four things I always tell him besides I love you.-
- Can I ask?-
- Um, it means, drive fast, drive safe, make me proud and come back to me.- I used to tell them to him but as time took over those four squeezes mean everything to him and the "I promise" I get back from him means the world to me.
- You too are absolutely adorable, I wish someone could look at me that way.- Paige said and without her noticing she looked at Charles stepping into his car.
- Maybe someday he will.- Aurora said with a smoked on his face.
