Chapter 6: "The Journey Begins"

OHANA (緒花)

My things are packed up, I'm ready to leave. Oh wait! I forgot something.

I took the Pokeball from the Pokeball Stand which it was placed in the top of the drawer near in my bed.

"You're coming with me," I whispered in the Pokeball that I just took and kissed it.

I put it in my belt and leave my room.

I slowly walk passed the hallway silently to go to my Mom's shrine.

As I arrived at my Mom's shrine, I prayed. I prayed that she will give me strength and guidance throughout this journey.

As I was done praying, I stand up and went out of Mom's room.

"I'm coming...お兄さん(onii-san)..." I said to my mind.

I never seen my Dad as I went out of the house.

Tch! Who cares? Why do I even bother saying good bye to my Dad? He wouldn't care either way.

Btw...before I went out of my house, I left a letter on my Mom's Snorlax's Pokeball which was located in my Mom's shrine nearby. The reason why I slowly silent walking is that my Mom's Snorlax is a light sleeper and they usually outside from its Pokeball.

I went to the south of Ecruteak City. As I was walking across the street, I heard a voice behind me from afar.

"緒花ちゃん！！待って！！！(OHANA-CHAN!!! MATTE!!!!)"

Wait! That voice...

I turn around and as expected, I knew who is the person who just shouted my name.

It was Mayuki, she seems very tired from chasing me.

"Since this is your fir---" she bowed down for a moment to catch her breath.

"Since this is your first day of your Pokemon journey, let me guide you!" She said and hold my right shoulder.

"Wait! You're coming with me?" I asked.

"Yup! And there's nothing you can do about it!" She said.

"Okay...? But what about your parents? Did you tell them that you were going with me?" I asked.

"My parents' vacation here will last for three more days, and I'm getting bored already so I decided to come with you then. And yes, I told them about this by leaving a note in their room," Mayuki answered.

"Okay, then you're all set!" I said and started to walk.

We're at the Pokemon Center, we stop by here for a while to heal our Pokemon. In the mean time, I check the things inside my bag to make sure that I didn't forgot anything.

"Ohana, Mayuki," Nurse Joy called us.

We went to Nurse Joy to pick up our Pokemon.

"Your Pokemon are fully healed, we hope to see you again," she bowed.

"Thank you Nurse Joy," Mayuki and I said that together and bowed as well.

We went to the south of Ecruteak City to cross to the route where it leads to Goldenrod City.

"Say, aren't you a little old to go on a Pokemon Journey?" Mayuki asked while walking.

"Most people who go on a Pokemon Journey was around ten to fifteen years old," she added.

"Yes, yes I am," I answered.

And after a few seconds, I asked her back.

"Well aren't you too?" I asked.

"Yes, yes I am too," Mayuki answered.

And we continue on walking without exchanging any words this time.
