Chapter 12: "Choose A Starter"

"Ohana watch out!" Mayuki said.

The reason why Mayuki said that is that, the Charmander who is running towards me jumps and its tail was a little bit in front. So that means, this Charmander can potentially start a fire in my clothes.

Instead of dodging that Charmander's approach, I catch them instead by using my arms.

The Charmander that I'm holding, put its tail on its back as I caught them.

"!!! !!!" Everyone seems surprised, even Professor Oak's assistants.

"Char...Charrr..." Charmander hugs me.

"... ... ..." I smiled and hugs him back. This Charmander is a male btw.

"Looks like Charmander likes you very much," Professor Oak said.

"Aww..." Mayuki got touched with my interaction with Charmander.

"Looks like it's decided," Blue said.

"So, the one you would be choosing to accompany your journey was Charmander, was it?" Professor Oak said.

"Actually..." I put Charmander down.

"I already have my Pokemon so it won't be necessary," I added.

"Char...?" Charmander said.

"You have a Pokemon? May I see it?" Professor Oak said.

"!!! !!!" Mayuki's facial expression has changed, it looks like she's gonna loose it.

"WAAAHHH!" Professor Oak reacts.

"You got a Shiny Charizard!?" Blue said.

"はい！そうです~(Hai! Soudesu~)" I answered.

Professor Oak was looking at Sallah's every side and angle of its body, he was very impressed by its shinyness.

"Impressive! You're one of the 8,000+ people who get Shiny Pokemon," Blue said.

"So..." Professor Oak coughs. "You're all set already."

"Yup! So I'm not gonna choose any Pokemon here, I'll leave these for the future Pokemon Trainers to pick," I said and put Sallah back in my Poke Ball.

"Char..." Charmander gets upset. I can tell by their facial expression.

Professor Oak carries Charmander.

"It's okay Charmander, I'm sure there are better trainers who will pick you someday, just be patient," Professor Oak pats Charmander's head.

"Char...Charr..." they said.

Professor Oak puts Charmander in the table.

"Squir, Squirtle Squirtle!" Squirtle comforts Charmander.

"Bulba-Bulbasaur!" Bulbasaur did the same to Charmander.

I went near the table and talk to Charmander.

"I'm so sorry Charmander," and I pat its head which Charmander clings on it.

As I released my hand to them, Charmander holds it and put it on its head, telling me to pat them more.

"That Charmander really likes you," Mayuki said. "Why not take them? Professor Oak insists you to choose though," she added.

"But I already have a Pokemon, and it's a Charizard, so having two Charizards in my Pokemon Journey would be a little bit of unrealistic," I said.

"But Lance have three Dragonites," Blue said.

And now Charmander climbed on me.

"!!! !!! !!!" Everyone got surprised on what just Charmander did.

"H-hey!!" I said.

"Charmander careful! You might burn Ohana's hair!" Professor Oak said.

And looks like Charmander didn't burn me so everyone sighs on relief.

"To be honest, this was the first time I see Charmander being like that," Blue said.

"I agree, Charmander never clings like that to the previous trainer who went here," Professor Oak said. "I must say, you are quite special," he added.

"Why don't you take it?" Profess Oak added.

"... ... ..." I didn't say anything,

"Don't worry, it's alright, I have a lot of Charmander that I can give away for future Pokemon Trainers" he added again.

"... ... ..." I didn't say anything and just spacing out.

"Uhh...Ohana Nee-chan?" Mayuki said.

"... ... ..." still, I didn't say anything and still spacing out.
