Chapter 18: "Hidden Moves Within A Pokemon"

Hidden Moves? What did she mean hidden moves?

We are both sitting on the ground, our Pokemon was out of our Poke Balls. Kinai and my little Eevee are playing, while Sallah was meditating.

"Let me discuss you the hidden moves within a Pokemon," Ohana Nee-chan said.

"Like I said, I didn't cheat. I just unlocked Sallah's true potential," she added.

"... ... ..." I didn't say anything, I'm just listening to what she was saying.

"Hidden Moves, is one of the things that most people don't know, most people who knows this skill are Kimono Girls, Sages, and Ninjas," she said.

"There are requirements to unlock this skill," added.

Ohana Nee-chan raised her right index finger.

"First, is to have a max friendship to your Pokemon," she said. "You are familiar with that right?" She asked.

"Yes," I answered. "There are Pokemon who needs a max friendship to evolve, like Pichu to Pikachu, Golbat to Crobat," I added.

"Correct," she said.

"Second Requirement, is you need to be in a certain shrine," she raised her middle finger. Not swearing though, she's doing a peace sign since she was explaining the requirements of the hidden moves, two of her fingers are being raised as she was explaining.

"There are notable shrines that you can initiate your Pokemon's hidden move," she said.

"One in Violet City, one in Ecruteak City which where I live," she added.

"And..." She suddenly fell silent. "Wait! I don't know if any other shrines where you can initiate hidden moves."

"Maybe in Fuschia City?" I said.

"Yeah! That's right! I've been hearing news about my fellow Kimono Girl initiates there," she said.

"How about here? There is a shrine here in Viridian Forest which the one you prayed earlier," I said.

"Nope! I heard a certain Ninja and a Sage tried to initiate here but it didn't work," she said.

"How about in the Ilex Forest?" I asked.

"Nope! It didn't work either," she said.

"How about Dra---" I didn't manage to finish on what I'm about to say when she started talking.

"Dragon Shrine from Dragon's Den in the Blackthorn City doesn't work either," she said.

What!? How could she know what I was about to say?

"Wait! I think Dragon Shrine works as well," she countered herself. "But it only works for Dragon Type Pokemon and any Pokemon that resembles dragon."

"I know there are still shrines here in Kanto where you can initiate hidden moves, I don't remember what's the name of those cities," she said.

"Mayuki, can you name some cities in Kanto?" She asked.

"Hmmn, let me think..." I said while looking up and caressing my chin with my right index finger and right thumb.

"Pewter, Cerulean, Vermilion, Celadon, Saffron, hmmn...that's all!" I said.

"Wait! There's one in Saffron City!" I added.

"Nope! It doesn't work there!" She said.

"Aww that's sad! That's where I live," I frowned.

"There is still one, but it's not in located in the cities that you mentioned," she said.

"Wait let me think more..." I said and rubbed my chin with my two fingers that I used earlier.

After several seconds of thinking, I finally remember the other shrine in this region.

"I remember it now!" I said.

"Where is it?" She asked.

"It's not in a city nor a town, but in an island," I answered.

"It's located in the Cinnabar Island," I added.

"Ohh... Cinnabar..." She said.

"Yes," I said.

"That's...also the...other shrines where you can initiate...hidden moves," she said.

I noticed that she's a little bit stuttering.

"Ohana Nee-can, what's wrong?" I asked.

"That shrine...is no longer exist anymore," she said.

"The only and last shrine here in Kanto that works for the initiation of hidden moves is in Fuchsia City," she added.
