Chapter 13: "Journey Officially Begins!!!"

Oh yeah...I remember one of the lessons of being a Kimono Girl. My mentor told me that...

"You don't choose Pokemon, Pokemon chooses you."

That's right...in the past, as my first month of being a Kimono Girl, as the time me and my fellow Kimono Girls will get an Eevee, Hibul chooses me.

Which transliterates that you cannot reject the Pokemon who choses you. This is not just about Pokemon choosing you, but also in battle, once you invite a person to a Pokemon Battle, they cannot back out. This also applies to the Kimono Girl herself, not just the Pokemon who choses you and the person who wants to battle with you.

"I'll take it!" I said.

"!!! !!! !!!" Everyone suddenly got surprised because I suddenly talk.

"So you are officially all set," Blue said.

We are now at Route 1, walking on the way to Viridian City.

Yes, I took Charmander as my starter. Even though my real starter is Sallah.

"Ohana Nee-chan?" Mayuki said while walking.

"Yeah?" I said while walking.

"Can't we just ride on your Charizard to fly to Viridian City? I'm tired," and she sighs.

"Already?" I said.

"You know..." I added. "Not everything comes instant, sometimes you have to experience difficulties and do some hardwork."

"Just like what we are doing right now, which is walking," I added again.

"And besides, I'm gonna have a Gym Battle today so Sallah needs rest," and I added again.

"Gym Battle? Where?" Mayuki asked.

"And who?" She added.

"Viridian City of course!" I answered.

"Viridian City what!?" Mayuki said.

"But Viridian City Gym is closed right?" Mayuki added.

"Nope! Blue contacted the Gym Leader to appoint me, so yeah...I just have to go there to battle them," I said.

"Oh that's great then!" Mayuki said.

"But a little advice for you..." Mayuki added. "Keep in mind that Viridian Gym Leader is the 8th Gym."

"だからこれは挑戦になるよ (Dakara korewa chousen ni naruyo)," she also added.

"ナメないで (Namenaide)," I said.

"私する分かるになるで (Watashi suru wakaru ni naru de)," I added.

"Well, if you are really ready then good luck!" Mayuki said.

Yes that's right, Viridian City Gym is open now thanks to Blue.

-Flashback-

As are about to leave Oak's Lab, I asked Blue about something.

"Blue," he stopped walking and looked at me.

Mayuki and Professor Oak was walking ahead of us that's Blue was the only one who stopped.

"Yes?" He said.

"Y-" I hesitated for a moment before continue talking.

"You are the Leader of Viridian City Gym right?" I asked.

"I was once," he answered. "But not anymore. Why? You wanna battle with me?" He added.

"!!! !!! !!!" I got surprised by his answer. As expected, he's not the Gym Leader anymore.

"Just kidding!" Blue smirked in a good way. "The real reason you asked me that question is that the Gym was closed, right?" He asked.

"Yes, that's that," I answered. "I was also going to ask if you have a connection with the current Gym Leader," I added.

Blue sighed.

"I knew it!" He said. "Let me contact him, hang on!" He took his phone from the pocket and dial someone.

Time check: it's 5:00 PM! We are now at Viridian City. I can see the gym from afar.

"Get ready..." I said in my mind.
