Chapter 22: "Offensive Splash!"

Instead of training in Viridian Forest, I went to route 3 to search for some trainers. This time, I'll put this training on a next level.

After few minutes of searching for trainers, I found one.

I was about to invite one trainer but that trainer itself invites me instead.

"Hey! Wanna battle?" That trainer said.

I smiled and said, "sure!"

We are a half hundred meters away from each other, so our Pokemon had a lot of space to battle.

"Go! Growlithe!" Said the trainer and throw its Poke Ball.

"Go Magikarp!" I throw my Poke Ball as well.

And our Pokemon came out from the Poke Balls.

Right before Magikarp came out from the ball, I brought my fans as well, I open it and cover my mouth.

"Should you go first? You might regret it if you let me go attack first," the trainer said.

"Are you sure?" I said while still covering my face it my fans.

"Yes," the trainer said confidently.

"Okay," and I smirked, he didn't know I was smirking because my mouth is still covered with fans.

I put down my fans while it still opens. I closed it and put it upward, commanding Magikarp to use Splash.

Yes, I know what you are thinking. Splash is a useless move. But no, this splash will be an offensive one.

My Magikarp jumps and lands on a puddle.

For those who didn't know, last night, it was raining. And the surroundings wasn't dried up yet.

As Magikarp gets wet, I put my fans in front, commanding them to use Tackle.

"Karp!" Magikarp said and jumps forward to tackle Growlithe.

And to my expectation, Growlithe fainted.

"What!? No!" The trainer said.

Those trainings for the past few days are worth it.

I'm still holding my fans, I put it forward and then to the left, and then above me, and to under her hips, she hold both ends of it, and then I bowed.

"I must say, that's a nice strategy for your Magikarp. I didn't expect that," the trainer said and put Growlithe back to its ball.

"How about another round?" They added.

I rised myself up from bowing and said...

"Sure!" I said confidently.

10 minutes later...

"No! Not again!" The trainer said after its third Pokemon fainted.

"Grooaarr!!" Sallah faced up while roaring.

"Looks like I won again," I said while covering my mouth with fans.

The trainer sighed, and smiled as well. Accepting defeat.

"Poliwrath, come back!" The trainer said and returns its Pokemon back to its ball.

"Wow, I can't believe you have a shiny Charizard," the trainer said. "Magikarp as well," they added.

"Well," I scratched my head. "You know what they say, I'm the one in eight thousand Pokemon trainers who will have a shiny variant."

"I know, but two shiny Pokemon? How amazing is that?"

"I can't believe too as well, I actually got this shiny Magikarp the other day."

"Shiny Magikarp!?"

Me and the trainer faced to the direction where the sound coming from.

"You got a shiny Magikarp!!?"

It was Mayuki.

"Uhmm...no...?" I said.

"Don't lie! I just heard it!" Mayuki pointed at me.

The trainer positioned both of its hands next to its shoulder side to side and walks back, meaning that they're out of the conversation.

"I knew you were caught something back in that day," Mayuki is pouting.

"What? Where? When?" I asked.

"Stop playing innocent!" Mayuki said.

"No, I didn't," I looked away.

"See? You are lying! Stop!" Mayuki continues to pout.

"... ... ..." my head was still turned away, but my eyes are now looking at her.

"... ... ..." she's still pouting as well as glaring, but not in an offensive way. I can see that.

I sighed.

"Yeah, you caught me," I admitted.
